Ok I did wonder but that's odd as typically any Porsche GTS and upwards always has Sports Chrono.
€800 perhaps could be spent elsewhere but remove 'more speed' from the equation - 0 - 60 will be marginally quicker when using launch control but apart from that and the items already mentioned are...
I'm guessing that's a difficult one as it is standard equipment on the Turbo!
It has very little to do with speed - provides an additional drive mode 'Sport Plus" which you'll rarely use unless on a track and / or wish to eat range, a further PSM mode 'Sport' and a dash mounted wart / clock but...
All of these features (and more) are part of Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (PVTS+) which has evolved over the years (full integration with My Porsche App) and until recently an option.
Historically, UK insurers mandated them but this has changed and companies like Admiral no longer require...
Unless you get an incentive from your insurer then I would not make the investment.
I have PVTS but I think this has been dropped by Porsche on new models and was integrated with the PCM. and My Porsche App.
Tags are a non integrated option.
The fact is your car is online all of the time...
On the Taycan you can adjust the roll detection to be early, late or somewhere in between - this is the adjustment for Hold and when adjusted addresses your issue.
Search PCM for the setting - somewhere within Vehicle or Assitance (Warn Brake Assist)
New VED rates apply to. all new non EVs from 1/4/25 and I imagine it will have a marginal impact on new ICE sales the cost of which will get lost in discounting.
1 in 4 EV take up is arguably very low VED penal measures will convince some.
Road tax appears for the first time this year for EVs...
Direct Charging will ignore any set profiles and / or timers - think of it as an override.
This is necessary for public AC charging which could be problematic (obviously) if you have active timers and / or profiles which won't permit a charging session to start until their criteria are met.
So...
It will depend largely where you live (country) and what incentives there are to go electric. In UK there are none and if there is a new non EV Macan it will sell in bucket loads (as before) at the expense of the Macan EV. We still have the old ICE version on sale until the summer.
New Macan ICE | Macan EV Forum, News, Info - MacanEVowners - if Porsche go ahead with ICE / Hybrid then Macan EV sales will fall off the proverbial cliff until government mandates take the choice away.
Same plan for Cayenne EV as we know.
5kW - this is not ideal - nice idea but slower than home charging at a not insignificant cost. 7.4kW works out at around 0.3 miles of range / minute of charge so this will be 0.2 or so - 12 miles an hour :-(
Did you try your RFID card? I had the same guidance at MFG, raised a ticket with Porsche who were as much use as a chocolate teapot, and then tried my RFID card and it worked instantly (app said scan QR code).
Full pricing per country is in the app - Charging Service --> scroll right to Prices - you have to find the AC EVSE yourself (not sure why you would prefer that over DC).
Use My Porsche App to find...Porsche won't tell you!
Map --> Charging --> set your filters --> see what's listed --> tap one for details of pricing, charging and how to start a charge (RFID, P&C, PAYG etc).
Yes, its that simple.
All Porsche EV owners will get the email.
This is not a great offer for 99% of the target audience and the old service (still active for many Taycan owners) is a better deal.
Use the My Porsche App - Map - Show Charging - those listed will be encompassed within the Porsche Charging Service...
