"Hey Porsche" doesn't work for you to make calls? I have CarPlay enabled but honestly I never use "Siri" for things and just do it through the built in system.
I had this problem for a while after the app decided that I no longer had a valid charging certificate installed. I was unable to ultimately fix the problem without support from Porsche directly.
Check under the charging settings to see what it says about having a plug and charge certificate.
No, she listed the camera campaign as a second recall I needed addressed.
the cluster malfunction (which is why I stopped in) was definitely different.
humorously, when I went to leave the dealer (they couldnāt do the updates for a few days as it turns out), everything was working again.
Had a similar occurrence yesterday when I was about a mile from the Porsche dealer and so I stopped in. They told me of a new recall which came out that morning which my SA believes will take care of it. It's a big fix though so she said it'd take several days.
Anyway, you might want to see...
Itās not the signal. The door will not open in my case at least. All the doors EXCEPT the drivers will unlock, but the drivers stays locked.
sometimes if you walk far enough away from the car and the reapproach it will unlock, but short of that, hitting lock/unlock in the remote does not...
Yeah, I now have to set mine to direct charge, even though Iāve enabled location based charging since Iāve got a regular, weekly departure set and it otherwise just waits until a few hours before the departure to start charging to ensure itās hit 80% when I leave.
I think though Iām done with...
Only because I couldnāt find a switched fuse in the box in the passenger footwell. I did put my dashcam in the fuse box though (and also ran those cables under the liner and down the door or to the back window).
āIāll try and tack a couple pics, but thereās not much to see, now! lol.
Itās super easy to run it under the headliner, down the door panel, under the dad and to the cigarette lighter (you just need to get a 12-15ā cord for it; I found one on Amazon). The whole installation took me 30 minutes and you canāt see a darn thing anywhere.
You're probably right on with that. I've been debating going to my local car stereo place since they've won a million audio awards (yeah, they're probably all for loudness, lmao) to see if there's something they can offer to improve it.
Agreed -- I use the ALP system with 5 sensors and two radar antennas on my other car, but I did not want to install that on my Macan as well since I rarely see laser here in MN.
Yeah, I have to imagine that the clicking is related to a physical problem with the connection. None of that should occur under any normal operation, I would think.
Good luck!
Question for you -- by any chance do you have a Departure time set and saved to the car? This will prevent the car from charging until the calculated time prior to departure needed to ensure a full charge. You can get around THAT by setting "location specific charging" though.
