I've done some more research, and the news is pretty bleak :-(
The ICE Macan uses the J533 setup, which has pretty reasonable support from open source projects like the OpenPilot/Comma driver assist system.
However, The EV Macan uses a totally new communication system, developed by CARIAD...
> cruising at 90mph
The air and tire resistance at 90 mph is almost twice that of 65 mph, so it would be normal for efficiency to be lower. If you want to hyper-mile, never go above 65!
(And make sure to inflate your tires)
But who wants to live like that? :)
It's either that someone forgot to charge it, or that there's a leak. If someone forgot to charge it, that sucks, but every factory in the world will have some mishap at some point. It's not like they *intend* to ship a car that's not ready.
For warranty service, they're supposed to supply you...
The law generally determines *criminal* liability. *Civil* contracts are what class action lawsuits are about.
You can be within the *law* but break a *contract*. It sounds from that old lawsuit that the problem was that Honda over-indicated odometers, and then used that over-indication to...
I think you're looking at the wrong connector from the ceiling? Isn't there another one there?
I recently installed mine -- or, rather, I had an installer do it, because it's too fiddly to get at the wires up in the ceiling. (I did it for the Audi GT which had a very similar setup, that took...
I came to the Macan from an Audi e-tron GT, which is a sister of the Taycan.
The GT (and Taycan) are much more firmly planted on the road than the Macan, no question about it! But I knew this going in. I, too, drive in Sport+, except when going over bumps, but it's not the same.
Other than that...
While this is true, it's a "fix-it" ticket. Mount the plate, get someone at the courthouse or police station to sign off that it's done, ticket is dismissed.
I'm a little surprised there isn't a standard holder for the front, though. As-is, I'd have to drill through the panel (plastic?) on the...
I've decided to bake my own switch into the wiring, because I'm adding my own microcontroller for the light control anyway.
In other news: the lights I purchased seem to gang up 3 at a time. So, I can only control each group of 3 as one light/color. Not a big deal for me, as all of this...
Most states in the US (certainly California) make all deposits fully refundable. Additionally, you have not made an agreement to purchase the vehicle until you sign the final paperwork and drive it off the lot. (E g, even if you signed the dotted line, but they cannot actually deliver the car in...
Maybe the problem isn't the lights, but the sensors that tell the car whether there's something in the blind spot?
Did the dealer specifically say that they serviced/replaced those sensors? If not, you should probably ask that they do.
Research so far:
- I can probably get velocity through OBD-II using standard protocols.
- There's a surprising amount of power available in that connector -- these LEDs only need < 15W, so I could conceivable power the entire thing off there.
- The format of the LED strip I got is the standard...
