Thanks. I see what you are saying but it is rather a PITA to have to examine the notes. The Tesla app only shows shared superchargers and the supercharge.info map can be set to show only shared Tesla chargers. In PlugShare if I set the power to 160kW some of the Tesla chargers disappear. That...
For finding available Tesla chargers it is easiest to use the Tesla app. Porsche can only use V3 and V4 chargers but do not have access to all of these chargers. Either Tesla has restricted non-Tesla use or the chargers don’t have the necessary CCS communications protocol. I compared PlugShare...
It appears they are giving free adapters to anyone that bought their EV after the Porsche-Tesla agreement was announced. It will be even nicer when they get it into Plug and Charge.
i just had to enter my login and password. The EA and Porsche subscriptions are part of your account and they repopulated. If you have installed apps ( eg, Tidal) to the PCM they will have to be installed again along with account information. Hope it works as easily for you as it did for me...
the 3D Maxpider KAGU floor mats are now available. I just ordered the front, rear, and trunk mats. I had some for 5 years in my Model S. They were life savers living in New England. Looked good as new after washing and never faded.
I tried all of the soft resets and cleaning to no avail. The only thing that woked for me was to eliminate my profile, reboot and then activate everything again. No problems now for 2 months.
Thanks. I have used the other apps for the past 8 years of EV motoring but hoped the My Porsche app would be an everything solution. The percent charge predictions in the Porsche Nav have been very accurate in the few 200-500 mile trips I have taken So was hoping for a one app solution to trip...
When I was planing a trip from Wilmington, NC to Asheville, NC on the My Porsche app I found that the app did not show the Tesla MagicDock chargers in Charlotte. Curious, I looked for the Tesla MagicDock location in Columbia, SC. It was also not shown in the My Porsche app as an available...
I have identified my vehicle as a Macan EV in the Tesla app. The app displays pay to charge AC chargers available to the public. Were you not able to charge at one of these? For my home Gen3 charger I set it to any vehicle and use a TeslaTap mini as an adapter. It begins charging immediately.
I appreciate all the technical details of what people have found on adapters. I don’t know all the technical details of the charging adapters but I would be cautious with a 2nd party adapter. If you don’t have an approved, registered adapter the car manufacturer will probably not pay for damage...
Not positive but I do not think that ChargePoint was ever intended to free like the EA. It was added for convenience and ChargePoint, and EA in the future, will be paid through your Porsche account.
Check with your dealer. My 2025 Macan 4 came with a portable EVSE from Porsche. I have never opened it since I previously has Tesla Gen3 in my garage. I bought a TeslaTap mini J1772 adapter.
I only bought the TeslaTap mini because I already had the Tesla Gen3 AC charger for my Model S. When I...
