I had the same problem today. One EA charger would not authenticate my car even after several tries. Fortunately the one next to it worked. I thought something was wrong with the first charger but it worked just fine for a Mercedes EQE with plug and charge just 2 minutes later.

I got my car back from service. LCA worked ok on the way back. They found transient faults at the camera fan in the overhead console. No idea how that is related to the LCA error and how/why it resolved on its own. I don't think they fixed anything. Time will tell if it happens again.
