Just been to see the 6 cars that arrived at Porsche Marin last night. One turbo and five 4s. I promised not to post exterior photos as they were customer cars that still had weeks of dirt on them from sitting at port.
Here are some interior photos and some observations from an existing Taycan...
Thanks for posting. Good to see with the roof bars and blacked out lights. I’m adding the off road kit in FBM with the body colored side blades and this has helped me be happy with my decision.
We looked at truffle but my wife doesn’t like brown, black was too dark and hot in California climate and we already have black and chalk in our Taycan so we were left with red and black.
After seeing cars at the dealership e realized that the red is much darker in real life (in a good way) but...
Nice. It’s so much nicer IMHO with the chalk stitching on black than the red/black combo.
I saw a turbo build last week deviated chalk stitching and was very impressed. Really lifted the premium feel of the interior.
Did you also opt for the rear parcel shelf in leather? I figured it was quite...
You know you are spending too much time in the configurator when you are one of the first to spot an update.

There were lots of young people at Electrify Expo and they are the ones who will inherit the future planet so I’m all for engaging them.
Porsche always has been aspirational brand and something that you save up for so I like that they are engaging the next generation.

Turbo at Electrify Expo in Alameda
good to see one in the flesh finally. Trunk and frunk were slightly smaller than I expected but rear space was good for someone 5’10 and driving position felt very nice.
Looks very good in the metal so no regrets with my order.
Just to confirm - the color choices are for the stitching. However when the option is labeled “Deviated leather” e.g for interior trim or seat centers this indicates that you can change the leather color as a contrast to what comes as standard.
rereading the specs the description does say that...
The description is correct. The standard finish is hard plastic so you are paying for it to be in leather or Racetex.
Double check with your SA but I’m 99% on this one.
On the US configurator you can only choose the stitching color. The leather color is determined by your choice of leather interior - black, brown (or crayon, red for the two tone interiors.)
this seems identical to the way it was on the Taycan. So if you picked speed yellow this will be for the...
Black leather with mamba green stitching on a black and chalk interior and mamba outside.
are you sure you can choose both leather and stitching color? I thought the leather color was set by your interior finish.
I optioned it on the Taycan and don’t regret it. Especially nice as you can add your own stitching color. It is a small luxurious detail so it all depends on your budget. I have it ordered it my new Macan but photos are rare I’m afraid.
4s build that will lock end of August
Took a different approach for more of a rugged look as I already have a Taycan and we will be using this more for luxury in leather backcountry adventures.

I switched from a Turbo down to a 4s so I could get an immediate allocation rather than waiting for an unknown number of months.
There are very few allocations on US west coast and a long waiting list whereas I got to jump to the front of 4s allocations.
it’s a 10k saving for an identical...
