it seams based on the blackvue model the draw could go up to 1/2 amp. And with small 12v EV batteries that could be true. if i leave my car unattended for 24h the voltage drops below 12v and then it goes into the area where it gets tricky. i have the extra B130x battery from blackvuue and...
Here are my $0.02 on the 12V EV issue my car was (is) plagued with.
A few weeks ago, my car had to be towed to the Dealer as the 12V battery was dead. (consequently, also damaged).
At that time no one knew what caused it. I was told i had a bad cell in the 12V battery.
Well now i have a new...
Same here . mine did not switch when DST kicked in. I had to toggle automatic to manual and back and forth a few times. Quite annoying. When you expect the heat to be on that morning and it is cold in the car.
Here are a few more from other angles. It is not fully concealed. But my main concern was that is out of my view. And not drawing much attention in the first place and I think that is achieved.
Here is my BlackVue install. 3ch front back and interior. Also with remote LTE and additional battery to take less of a strain on the interior. It also shuts off if needed when the voltage goes below 12V. To make sure the car will still operate just in case the dashcam depletes the interior.
if you get a dashcam that uses cloud connection then you can keep the same wifi SSID as long as there is internet to support it. My blackvue uses that. there you have the option to connect directly through its own ssid like the porsche or leave the WIFI of the car and still connect to the...
Scary if standard. If you are the vehicle owner. Should you not have the right to see when you car gets driven and for how long. The need to put it in privacy mode is to me āitās non of your business when we drive your car and for how longā I donāt like that. Glad I have my aftermarket...
The place where i had my ppf added told me they would get switched power for dashcams on the Macan EV from the obs power ? Is that an option to go after ? Donāt even know if they a fuse for that.
that's about 20K more than what i got for a 24M prepay. Given they added the 7500 EV rebate.
but i must also say that i only have it set for 7500 Miles. Yours is set to 15K
and i added the Rim/Tire insurance.
this happened to me also when i took delivery of the car. The sales rep took the car back into the back and later he came back it being open again. I asked him what he did to get it working. He said he ripped it open. Very much encouraging to hear.
They were supposed to swap out the 12V batterie. Now it says car is in Privacy Mode.
Did the service tech put the car into that state. Or is it because the car loses all the power? (They seem to not bridge Power when they swap batteries.) To me logical to do but maybe the wrong thing not sure...
