How do they know that the update will solve the problems of your car. the release notes do mention white and yellow circle errors linked to assistance systems, they do not mention red circles of death.., I’m puzzled

Hopefully it will provide precise logs attached to the red circles, and provide dealers with a path to identify and solve problems…

No, i'ts not the same as with the physical compass, nor the digital version of the compass in the central and passenger screens. I'm also tempted to make the swap: the best of both worlds, all the chrono sport packages customizations, and the physical compass which is nicer than the chrono IMO.
