Charging Question

Today was my first day of paid Electrify America charging, after the expiration of my one year free plan. I started charging at 16% and, after reaching 75%, the photo shows I am being charged for consuming 108.48 kWh. Under the free plan, I don’t recall seeing this level of consumption, ever. A +60% charge on a 100 kWh battery is net ~60 kWh. How is 108 kWh even possible with the Macan’s battery size? Temperature was about 65 F (18 C). Charge rate was never over 200 kW. The battery cooling fan came on during the charge, but “come on, man,” 48 kWh for battery cooling??? What am I missing?

Check your charging history on the My Porsche app. On a couple of occasions the screen at EA showed inaccurate data, but everything was correct in the app. If not, call Porsche support. Don’t bother emailing them as it takes forever to get a reply, which is generally not helpful.

Yep, shows 108 kWh in the Porsche app as well. . I will call.

oh, and the time was 36 minutes. It was charging at about 175 kW during this time, which works out to be 105kWh. So either the software was completely bogus in its display of the data, or the energy was provided and went…where?

Maybe a leak… you check for a puddle of electrons on the ground under your car?
