It's the heat pump (AC compressor in reverse) So if the outside is below freezing it can take some bit of time to get fully up to temperature, I would say no more than 1 minute though on mine - 5 minutes seems excessive!

I noticed that too, I believe the GTS has improved battery cooling being better suited to track driving. What this does mean though is that VR28.13 is not that big an update and there will be more to come with MY26 rollout.
