Hi, has anyone removed the front splitter to swap a painted / offroad splitter yet?

My wife damaged the splitter from an accident and I already ordered the replacement part. It's a $500 part. When the splitter got dislodged I saw some tabs on it which I just pushed back into the bumper. Can it be done without removing the whole bumper? If so, how? Thanks for your help!

no, but i'm def interested in how it's done. I think i saw the top half of a bumper on Ebay once...which let me know the two pieces can be separated. But i've not looked into yet. Please post pics of everything

Just as a summary / follow up on my saga - Porsche local wanting ÂŁ2086 just for the labour cost to exchange the lower splitter on my Macan Turbo that I was supplying ( or Porsche UK was who sold me the car ) I eventually took the car and splitter to Porsche UK HQ after the sales outlet arrange it for me for a fit while I waited.
I was promised it would take no longer than 3 hrs. Turned out it was done in under an hour ! Did they take the whole front off to do it ? which is what they thought they would need to to and resign all the rasa / camera etc, but since the time to do it was so quick I suspect they did not. I think they just released the wheel arch covers, accessed everything they needed - bolts and clips etc and switched it out. I think all the time required padding was because they had not done one before but when it came to it it was more straight forward than expected. Have to say Porsche UK clearly provide a better service than the local Franchise

That is very encouraging if it only took less than one hour. It means they basically just swapped the part without needing to remove the bumper / calibrations.

I’ll fiddle with it when I receive the new part. Thanks!

Note, it doesn't show any hardware fasteners for the lip itself...

Just an update - I have been having troubles obtaining the spoiler. All these online part stores want $300+ to ship to my address, which costs more than half of the spoiler itself.

My local dealer - this is a good one - they want $1144+tax for the spoiler that carries a MSRP of $638.31. I was amazed.

One online parts store honored the original quoted shipping rate so I finally obtained it.

In case anyone wants to see the part:

My first attempt trying to remove the old one failed miserably. Those tabs (18 total) are sort of like 1-way insert into a slot opening that's barely big enough for the tab and locked in place, and particularly more difficult for the ones on the ends. Might be easier to release from the inside than prying from the outside. If that's the case I'd need a lift to remove the underbody cover... or just pay a body shop to do it.

The bottom 6 screws were also challenging because while they are just torx, they have been shaved pretty badly from scrapings.

yeah, i would think you'd need to get in behind the bumper to get that off without dmg... The fender liners are easy..but i don't know about the "belly" pan.

My next plan is to cut / drill out the bottom to access the tabs. It’s getting replaced with a new one I don’t need the old damaged one intact.
