Wireless CarPlay not working

My CarPlay inconsistently connected. I tracked it down to the system handshaking with the dashcam WiFi and of course that’s not connected to the internet.

Hi Folks, confirming that changing the Wifi hotspot password to something strong fixed my Carplay issue today! Carplay had been working well until this morning. I tried deleting my phone from Devices in PCM, "forgetting" the Bluetooth connection on my phone, re-pairing etc. Nothing worked and I had to listen to the rattling rear hatch for an hour (yup, it was "fixed" twice and now it's the worst, with metal clanking on metal). But I saw this thread, changed my password (Settings -> Connections -> Hotspot) and re-paired the phone. Worked instantly.
