You did pick a race where the EV cheats, thanks to rear-wheel steering. That said, I had just a stock GTS, and it looks like you tuned yours to eliminate a lot of the issues I had with it 👌 You almost taught your ICE to respond like an EV 😛

No argument on the physics, at 10/10 (something I never do, or in a different car), there is no way around the weight (some reviewers have noted that). At 7/10 though, on a twisty road, I’ve found the low center of gravity, instant torque and rear wheel steering to work magically.

It does make sense to drop a few drive train options. As Macan electric and taycan are build on different platforms it probably also makes sense to drop one of them. Afaik the taycan platform is only used for the taycan itself and the Audi E Tron GT and there's no future models based on that platform, so it would make sense to get rid of those. But there might be a replacement based on the PPE platform (on which the Macan and others are based).
Altogether it's not really possible to make judgements based on local demand for certain models. US customers, European customers, Asian customers prefer different models (sometimes it's even more granular), but the cutting decisions will need to be made globally.

Worldwide in 2025 the Macan was the best-selling model line at 84k cars, up 2% in a year where the company was down 10%, and the EV was more than half of that.

ICE Macan production ends this month, so the line will be EV-only worldwide. Porsche has admitted they misread that transition (an ICE successor is coming in 2028), but if anything that makes the EV safer: until this ICE Macan ships, the EV is the only Macan they have.

The Taycan is the one I'd worry about, like I said above: 16k cars in 2025 (-22%), 6k in H1 (-25%). That's the profile of a car that gets cut.

As you pointed out, they do act regionally: they built a Panamera edition for China and kept the ICE Macan alive outside the EU until now. None of this makes the Macan EV untouchable, but based on the numbers they publish themselves, it's the last model line I'd worry about.
