I’ve had my Macan 4 (UK) now for around 6 weeks and the major problem I’ve had is the main screen going black, then the drivers dash and HUD freezing and then after about 2 minutes, it restarting, which is a bit unnerving when driving!
in addition to this happening, it did it twice yesterday in the motorway, I’ve also had the assistance system report it was not fully working, then the warning going away, this happens especially during bad weather, errors to do with the door locks, charging port impeded, car play disconnects and screen corruption. In addition, I get the unable to request a certificate for plug and charge.
its booked back into the dealer for two days in January, so I’m hoping they are going to be addressing this with some form of update. I can’t fault Porsche Portsmouth as they’ve been very responsive and I think a little bit embarrassed!
Is it easy to find out what version of software I’m on so I can check what’s been done before and after?
Apart from these irritations, the car is great and my first Porsche, but it’s disappointing that a car of this value has these issues. I believe however, having spoken to colleagues with Audis and VWs, that they have similar issues so I’m assuming that there is technology shared across the various car platforms causing similar issues.
