First off, I wanted to thank all of you who have taken the time to post and comment here. I have learned so much from all of you on my journey to Macan ownership! I have in the last 2 weeks taken delivery of my 2025 Macan all wheel drive. I will say that it did seem like the whole process of order and delivery sped up with the tariff threats. I had ordered in December, and it took a bit longer than expected for production to start, but once it started, Porsche moved quickly through the shipping and delivery gears.
Here is my brief review of my first two weeks of ownership. I really love the drive (although dang the car is heavy) of the car. The pickup of even the base model is really amazing coming from a BMW gas vehicle. I have been really impressed with the cornering and handling. I did have a bit of electric car nausea at first (which other friends transitioning have reported to me). But it has gone away. I also find myself liking the interior with leather everywhere. I also like the camera system (although the BMW cameras were higher quality to my eye). I have had zero fit and finish issues with the hardware. So far, still excited when I get in my Macan.
Two issues that I have run into (both involving the app). First, I had to go to Porsche customer service to get the app to fully connect to the vehicle. My app did not originally show battery on it. After contacting Porsche in Germany, connection was established. The second issue is also app related. I am having trouble getting a certificate to use at electrify America. I have station near me. the app tells me I need to be in the car with plug and charge on and the car on and request a certificate. It also shows that I have a certificate number from an earlier attempt. When I went for my first recharge, I ended up getting a bill from Porsche (and I assume the certifcate I got was not recognized). I do hope this gets fixed.
I do feel Porsche is really trying here and that they care.
