We’re you considered parked in a charging space Or is this an error?

I got charged for time when figuring out a charging door jam so they definitely can determine when charging spaces are occupied, plugged in or not.

I think the problem started when I charged in Grand Junction, Colorado. The EA chargers are at a Sam’s Club. When I got there all four chargers were in use (the only time I have had to wait for a EA charger on this roadtrip).

After about 20 minutes a Ford Lightning left, but the screen on the charger displayed a message saying “Your vehicle has timed out”. That message was there even while the Lightning was charging, and I couldn’t dismiss it using the touchscreen or the physical buttons underneath.

Since no other chargers were available I decided to plug in and try to charge. Even though the message remained on the screen my car started charging, and I normally set a 28 minute timer on my phone to let me know when the free charging is about to end. I used that and ended the session by pressing the button by the charge port, and unplugged. There was no idle time.

I see three things wrong with the message from the app. One, I didn‘t charge 0 kW. Two, I wasn’t there for 30-plus hours. Three, the last time I checked 30 hours and 75 minutes is 31 hours and 15 minutes. Yet looking at the Charging History the session information appears valid.

I’m not sure if the fault lies with EA, Porsche, or a bit of both.
