Macan Electric (Ireland) recurring faults: stalling at lights, boot-lid warning, battery drain, WhatsApp voice memo audio issue

Hi all, I’m looking for help from other European Macan EV owners because I’m trying to resolve with Porsche Centre , and I want to sanity-check this against real owner experience.


Car: Macan 2025 Electric 4 (bought new in Ireland). PCM is up to date (2026 software).


Issues (ongoing despite diagnostics and updates):

1. Safety / drivability: the car has shut down / stalled at traffic lights and also during low-speed manoeuvres going into parking. It’s not just a glitch, it’s a proper “this can cause an accident” moment. Porsche are currently trying to resolve and have ordered parts, but I’m trying to understand what the confirmed root cause is for others.
2. Boot-lid warning: constant boot warning + alarms while the boot is physically closed and electronically locked.
3. Battery drain / electrical: battery can drain unusually fast. It feels like something isn’t going to sleep properly. This has been discussed with Porsche and “stabilised” once, but it comes back.
4. PCM/CarPlay/WhatsApp: WhatsApp voice memo recordings are almost silent (barely audible), yet WhatsApp video and other audio are fine. Porsche told me it’s a “security feature”, but that doesn’t make sense if video/audio sends normally.
   Phone side: iPhone 17 Pro on latest iOS, and I’ve tested on multiple phones with the same result.

Questions :

• Has anyone had the stall/shutdown at lights or during parking on the Macan EV? What was the confirmed fix (specific part/module, wiring, software version, start/stop logic, HV system, etc.)?
• Any known TSBs/campaigns in Europe for battery drain / sleep-wake issues on the Macan EV?
• Anyone else seeing WhatsApp voice memo volume nearly zero via CarPlay? If you fixed it, what setting/change actually solved it?

Never had a shut down / stall at TLs, and never used the WhatsApp voice memo feature. Re: battery drain issue - do you have an aftermarket dashcam fitted?

I have a BlackVue dashcam with parking mode so it comes to life when parked if there's an impact. Some current drain - not an issue unless parked for an extended period. Thouight it might be a possible cause for your battery drain issue.
