So let me get the facts straight.. since you, Daniel AKA Greybard72, don't know who I am and I don't have a location listed, and my post, which I'm assuming doesn't agree with you, I am a troll (or a bot)?

Glad to see you sound real. Not sure why you posted what you did. You shouldn't be concerned about using it as a road tripper since in my experience (and many others on this forum), it works incredibly well. Yes, you have to plan a bit but the trip planner is really good and will always give you alternatives (and there are more almost every day - Ionna, Cosco, Wallmart, EA upgrades...). So unless you live is a charging desert stretching over 200 miles from your location (still possible but getting rarer these days), I wouldn't worry too much and enjoy the car.

It is a lot better than before but it still requires a bit of luck and patience, more so than I'm comfortable with. Either way I bought the Macan purely as a city driver knowing it's cramped in the back but a lot more fun to drive. Planning to replace my current ICE SUV with a Sienna for long distance driving because long distance for me means a trip somewhere with my family, like camping (hello V2L) or the beach.

I imagine by the time solid state batteries are established (2030+?), charging networks will also be robust enough that you don't have to pre-plan your charging and also praying that there is an available station open. That'll be my next EV, maybe a 2030 Cayenne EV?
