External SIM card / eSIM

Hi! I’m about to (finally) get delivery of my Macan Turbo, and in my country there is no partnership with any internet provider. The car comes with no connection to the internet. I know I can hotspot my phone, but does anyone have any information about how the SIM card works with this car? Is it an eSIM, like newer iPhones, or a port to insert a physical SIM card?
Or is this something that can only be done by a dealer?
