based on this google ai search your understanding would be correct. i am no longer sure my previous response will accomplish what oceancatch was trying to do.

And if you switch to Sport, you should notice the remaining Range decreases immediately.

Yes I noticed this at least a couple times as well. When I drove out of parking lot/neighborhood, it went back to Normal. I feel this is speed depended.
i know this doesn’t address saving your suspension preference but i have noticed over the last 10 days or so my level preference, which i’ve set to low, in normal mode has stayed at low for over a week now. not sure what i’ve done differently… try going into normal mode via the car icon, change just the level, don’t change anything else, press the home button and see how long it lasts for you.

This is in line with my experience, if I set the level and then leave in Normal it stays there indefinitely. If I change modes and go back to normal, I have to do the level again.

Yes thanks. in the past week or so I see it stays there the majority of the time. maybe only once it returns to Normal by itself.

We have driven our Turbo EV over 6,000 miles, and in the beginning (OCT 2024) it always defaulted to factory settings in NORMAL. However, after one of the software upgrades, lift stays at the last setting when you start the Macan, similar to our upgraded 2020 Taycan Turbo S. This is extremely important if you park near a curb or especially if you raised the suspension to clear a concrete block at a charging station. In the beginning, our Taycan would lower the car when you turned it on, and, of course, I drug it across a concrete block leaving a charging station.

Bottom line, it is safer to have the vehicle lift remain where you shut it off, until you move the vehicle at normal speeds (or manually override the lift).
