The design language was so much more successful on the Macan EV. I can't look at the new Cayenne's back, it's like they gave up entirely there.

The Macan EV rear is not the prettiest but you can at least find some Porsche DNA in it, similar volume lines and cuts have been used visually on the 918's rear for example.

There is a lot to like about the Cayenne EV. I’m not in the market for one, but did find a couple of things that would cause me to wait. There is level 2 charging on only one side (right now; to be added to both sides later, I think). I would be one owner that needs it on both sides. The overall shape reminds me more of a station wagon / estate than an SUV (more feminine than masculine IMO). Yes, few owners ever go off-road, but there isn’t quite as much utility in this vehicle with a sloping rear roofline and smaller hatch opening. Finally, ordering now, you can get the base model (power seems a bit low for this size EV) or the Turbo (completely crazy power). Like the Macan, the sweet spot will be the S or GTS, when they become available.

No need to talk about back, I think top gear was spot on - VW vibes. As for engine, base is good enough as it sits between 4 and 4s. I have 4s but driven 4 for last 2 months. 4s is definitely sportier and more fun to drive but 4 is plenty fast enough. Macan driving experience is as good as it gets so Cayenne will anyhow be step down.

I configured a fully loaded Cayenne EV Turbo and noticed they omitted a few options which I am hoping they plan to add.
I have Massaging Seats on both my Macan EV Turbo and Panamera which my wife and I love. I also have Night Vision Assist on my Panamera which works great in the White Mountains of New Hampshire where we live. It has helped me avoided multiple animal strikes on our remote dark roadways.
I wish this was an option for our Macan EV, surprised it also is not for the Cayenne EV.

Strange, one reviews mentioned massage seats so may come later as an option. Also not much customisation available yet. I ordered full spec baseline (except expresso brown). Night Vison may be tricky as they can't do all camera functionality with PTS. May come with alterations to front bumper. Do you happen to know if base model will get V8 electric sound as well. Wouldn't be happy with V6, flat 6 would be welcome though ;-).

No trailer hitch (even for bikes) on an SUV?
There seems to be some website glitches. I ordered mine with trailer hitch in UK. Different markets have different specs, in particular trailer hitch seems to be different in US as compared to EU and UK. They maybe awaiting approval. Not sure why mood mode is not available in UK, maybe they are working on gloomy UK weather theme.

I like it. I’m interested in swapping my Macan Turbo but I feel that the turbo feels a bit too expensive and not sure if I would need the power. The standard might be a bit underpowered so I might wait for a 4S or a GTS perhaps…

Turbo will be crazy fast. You may be able to hit up to 3 traffic cameras under 10 sec in London. I have the Macan 4S and the base model sits between 4 and 4s. I should be fine (slightly less HP but more torque) but for you it's clearly a step down (for sure you will miss quick response between 0-20 mph). 4s will also get a different, oil cooled engine. Expect 600+ HP (should be above Tycan 4S due to new battery platform) matching your Turbo. But that's just my guess.

I use Waze in Apple car Play and Porsche Google navigation - both work same time and Waze is automatically on.
