Do you currently have issues with your vehicle? If not - what is the hurry to get the update? I have a 2025 Macan 4 and have received an email notification that an update is available for my vehicle. We have essentially NO issues with our vehicle - so we are deferring on the update. Car...
My wife and I also own a Macan 4 - we previously had a 2018 Macan ICE, followed by an Audi eTron, and now the Macan 4. We initially leased ours (to take advantage of the $7500 credit before it went away), made 2 payments, and then purchased it outright (no loan - cash deal). We intend to drive...
After reading this forum for about a year it's become apparent to me there are two general groups of people here: 1) Those who would be fine driving a sofa as long as the software provided them an experience they viewed as "favorable" and 2) Those that want to drive a Porsche for the dynamic...
Good luck - as they say - the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence ........ until you get on the other side of the fence. I owned a GLC 300 - and traded it for a Macan ICE. There is a change in the driving dynamic of a Mercedes SUV vs Porsche SUV. Again - good luck.
We plan to drive it - why not? It's an extremely nice vehicle with reasonable range / charging capabilities that should stay "contemporary" for the next 5 years or more. The major warranty concern is the battery and that has an 8 year, 100,000 mile coverage. All EVs will continue to...
I am fully aware of that. Not sure what the perspective is outside of the US but within the US here's the perspective - If an SUV is available in both a 2WD (rear or front) and a 4WD/AWD the 2WD versions have extremely low demand and sales are abysmal. That is why I consider the Macan 4 as...
Doubtful for a Macan 4 - it's the "base" model and serves its intended purpose well as is. The reality is that NO ONE needs Sport Chrono on a base Macan EV. I may have a different perspective since I own both a Macan 4 EV and a 2026 Targa 4S. There is NO doubt sport chrono is a must have /...
One thing all need to remember - wheel diameter is but one of several variables here. Others include tire inflation pressures (can have a HUGE impact on perceived ride quality), suspension setting, base suspension stiffness inherit to model, road quality, etc.
Good luck with obtaining useful information - this topic is even more subjective than the popular "which is better, the comfort seats or the sport seats". The ONLY way to know if the wheel / suspension combination works for you is to find that combination (new or used; won't matter) and test...
The more you learn about FSD the less you'll want it - it is the prime example of "everything was great until it wasn't"............... The over-reliance on that technology has caused accidents and will likely continue to do that.
That looks deep enough that you are basically all the way through the clearcoat and the base/color coat into the composite material of the bumper cover. If you want it fixed to look like new you'll need to have that area repaired and then the entire bumper cover refinished. Best practice...
Pick your feet up and lift OVER them rather than dragging a foot across them. This really is the only and best way. Due to the sill plates being brushed the finish is actually pretty resistant to damage compared to the highly polished sill plates in many vehicles.
Cabin filter is certainly a DIY item. If you have the means and knowledge to get the vehicle in the air and pull wheels off the brake fluid change is also a reasonable DIY project (you can make it happen easily with a Motive Power Bleeder). When the wheels are off it's a great time to detail...
I think Porsche was a bit "under pressure" to get into the market with the Macan EV since it had already been delayed several years (2 at least). My wife and I had a 2018 Macan ICE that we loved - I wanted the Macan EV which I think was initially supposed to be marketed as a 2021 or 2022...
All good manufacturers will continue to refine a vehicle based on what has been learned from prior models. It can seem a bit disappointing when you see improvements after only a few years but it's just how the system works - when developing a new vehicle a relatively limited number of test...
Have to agree with comment to NOT use autowash and do it yourself. Car wash will eventually kill paint. Brushes/pads abrade paint. Brushless car wash? They use harsh chemicals to clean. It's all in how you want your vehicle to look - if you can live with a 20 footer thn do whatever you...
