No, sorry. They just said they had applied a software fix .. and it does seem to have fixed it in my case. It used to happen every 2-3 weeks at least and has not occurred for a few months now. Hopefully everyone else receives the same fix too...
"No two cars are the same" is a bit of a concerning comment when these are supposedly all produced to the same exacting standards of build quality eh !!! I'd get that if it was an optional extra but... windows?! Presumably all Porsche experts have access to a central log of common issues and...
sorry - just saw this question. I included a photograph in the thread below:

Be careful though .. it can spark quite a bit !
You're not far from me if you're going to Stockport (I'm in Alty). My dealer is in Chester, which think is a different group to Stockport, but you might ask them to call there and see what they applied on mine engineer-to-engineer ... given its a security issue etc. Reg is DF 74 YAW if it...
No, sorry. Didnt get any details.
The dealership did have 2 attempts at resolving it. The fix (which - touching wood - seems to be holding now) was applied in April so my confidence is now almost fully restored that this was the fix. Any updates available up to that time would be candidates for...
I just had the same issue. Car is 5 months old and has had multiple accounts on it since new, with no issues until now.
I disconnected the 12V battery for 3 minutes then reconnected and it all seems to be working fine again now. Seems that its the Porsche equivalent of CTL+ALT+DELETE ...
Well, I may regret saying this but... mine appears to be fixed. I had issues roughly every c couple of weeks but it is now several weeks since my local dealer applied a software update which is intended to resolve it. Maybe everyone else should be asking for the same, given the fact that this is...
just had the same work (I think) done on my car. Reported updates in full in separate thread
Did yours stay fixed??

My car has been back at the dealerships all week and they have just telephoned to say that they have applied a software update from Porsche that - amongst other things - is designed to resolve this issue. To say I am far from convinced is a bit of an understatement but time will tell.
The...
Mainly the ongoing passenger window issues but also...
- this one
- ill fitting charging cover on drivers's side
- faulty steering wheel column adjuster
... and there's a couple of weeks before it's booked-in, so will be on the lookout for others niggles.
I dont know about the soft reset with volume button, as haven’t tried that yet.
The recovery driver said that I may have to reset some settings following the 12v lead removal and initially it seemed my wing mirrors didnt retract when I locked the doors yesterday.
I awoke early this morning...
Has anyone else experienced the wiper blade hitting the a-pillar when operating, and causing a tap-tap-tap noise every time the blades clear the windscreen?
Mine has been doing it for a while, but we had a downpour today and the wipers went into overdrive and it sounded like someone was playing...
I take that back - its stopped doing it again!
Are there two levels of extension for the rear spoiler? When I extended it manually it said it had reached the intermediate point on the display…
CORRECTION: I searched a little further in the forums and found that the sunroof being open changes...
A footnote to this story … I driove the car today and its the first time I have seen the spoiler visible in the rear view mirror. I had assumed (for past 3 months!) that it only raised slightly and hence I couldnt see it. It seems it was never actually working at all, and the ’reboot’ got that...
Ok... here's the update and its good news.
The Porsche Assist engineer (actually an AA recovery person here in the UK) visited my house to look at it. His face dropped when he saw it was an EV and he started to mumble about how difficult it will be to lift the car and get it onto a transporter...
I like the logic, thank you. The Porsche recovery engineer should be here in the next hour so I will leave him to investigate but also float your idea as a suggestion.
