Update - was a defect as you can see by where the crack originated. PCNA won’t reimburse.

My local guy suspects they will give it you to and do some sort of internal chargback to Porsche to recoup the free sale

Agreed. Even more so after I saw a brand new fresh replacement with a defect. Me and the service manager both inspected the 2nd replacement before it accepted it.
