Anyone expecting theirs on the West Coast, US in March? Just recieved an update that it left Emden. Final destination is Benicia. Will track down the vessel name later this week with my SA. PWL site doesn't have current schedules posted.
Awesome! That’s what I was looking for. Thanks all!
Kuat NV 2.0 is already just over 100lbs for the rack for 4 bike setup. Each bike is from 30 to 40lbs. Well within the limits but range hit for overall weight.
For context, I swapped out my OEM factory hitch on my Model X to a aftermarket one...
Thanks but that’s towing capacity. Tongue weight is different. I’m going to assume 2 lightweight MTB and the rack might max it out. Efficiency I know will be hit as it could be carrying about 300+ lbs.
For anyone with the tow hitch spec’d and taken delivery, are there labels there that says tongue weight capacity? I’ll be carrying a hitch mounted bike rack (Kuat NV 2.0) that has a capacity of carrying 2 or 4 bikes. 4 mountain bikes is probably pushing it for this vehicle.
I’ve checked online...
Check vessel tracker. It’ll usually tell you where the next stop is and with an ETA.
My Taycan took two stops in Southern California after Panama before its final destination to Benicia.
I’ll be updating mine to built and in transit soon. Manufacturing started today which was originally Feb 1.
My timelines:
Order confirmed 10/12/24
Freeze point 12/19/24
Manufacturing started 1/27/25
German port 2/5/25
These next dates and port and boat dates change so much but my SA said it’s...
That rear hatch is like my Taycan CT. I had to pull apart the grommets to get my rear camera set up. One side unseals easily and the other clicks into place. I did a BlackVue DR970X box set up but slightly easier on the Taycan as I found BATT and ACC on the drivers side fuse box using open slots...
It’s just a waiting game. My Taycan last year sat at Emden for practically a month before it was assigned a ship. This was last November. Final destination was Benicia but once it gets assigned a ship, my SA let me know the name and I just tracked it online. The app doesn’t get updated often.
You can guess any ship but your SA should have all the details. My Taycan last month was not on a VW ship and one that isn’t on any of the lists that is on the Taycan or Macan forums for tracking. My SA gave me the name and I was able to track it various vessel tracking sites.
My order was placed in mid November. Dealer allocation was in October. Freeze point was last week and production should start next week. Should be seeing it in March.
I received an email from Porsche Janurary 7 which it showed up on the app for TYD. I didn't know since it's like the Tesla app...
I have this on my Taycan. Letters light up when the parking lights or headlights are on. The welcome and good bye is just the animation the goes from center out or outside back to center. On the Macan, it does the same for the taillights but the lettering is black. I almost optioned this but...
There are 3 ports on the west coast. I’ve been tracking my Taycan which has been sitting in Benicia for a week. First stop was San Diego, then Oxnard. Interesting that when it left Benicia, it went back to Oxnard. It was on a ship that wasn’t on any of those sheets and got the info from my SA.
My wife liked it after seeing it in person and on a Taycan first in direct sunlight and then again indoors. Very grayish and pastel outdoors. Photos for sure doesn’t do it justice. She’s a purple fan and Taycan’s Purple Sky Metallic was a tad too dark. Provence fit the bill and definitely...
