I ordered the crest + text versions, but my vehicle is still sitting the dealer delivery room at the moment awaiting PPF and ceramic coating. I should have it Wednesday.
Another awesome thread by @daveo4EV. I may have missed it, but we all talk about the impact of various options on range, and it seems tire pressure would be a significant variable that is not frequently mentioned. The standard thinking for ICE vehicles is that tire inflation may impact mileage...
Every salesperson seems to be educated to use the badge to close the frunk, but that advice is a bit controversial. Some of the 911's with aluminum hoods, eventually, sustained damage where the badge was indented a couple of millimeters.
I use two hand across the front edge of the frunk to...
No need to worry, it’s just the normal Porsche lottery at port. Sometimes a vehicle will clear quickly, other times it feels like forever. Our Macan’s might be awaiting some minor part (like key FOB’s and computer chips post-COVID), or the port is simply backed up. When it takes really long...
Mine has been stuck in port (Benicia) for a bit. Originally planned at the dealer on Jan 31, but most recent ETA is now Feb 21. Apparently related to updates/recalls. I have never had a Porsche clear port quickly, so I am not too surprised or worried unless some sudden tariff is applied.
My conversation will be simple. When I ordered, I agreed to pay a certain price, and have not asked for discounts, nor will I tolerate any increases. Anything different from what we agreed to will be a breach of our agreement so a prompt refund of any deposits will be due.
Porsche typically changes to the next model year right after the summer holiday shutdown for most of the lineup. I think the Macan EV launched later than expected, and delayed the changeover from ‘24 to ‘25.
It's not fraud, just allowable tolerances in measurements. I believe the allowable variation is up to 10% in Germany, and regulations forbid underreporting speed, so the decision is dictated by these constraints.
More than a chance, it is almost a certainty that distance traveled is also over-reported. The speedometer and odometer are historically driven by the same data. I guess there is a chance that they use GPS in these newest vehicles, but that seems unlikely.
This is "normal" for the German cars I have owned over three decades. There are couple of different standards in play in the US vs. Europe, but the most relevant standard for the Macan EV is UN ECE Regulation 39, which effectively requires that the actual speed never be faster that the...
You can change seat belts later, but it’s much cheaper to do it when you order. There are places that will re-web the belts too. Personally, I would just pick one of the offered colors, or leave them stock.

You are not wrong. A couple things to think about…
Sales and service are completely separate. Both sales and service are bit more “premium” just because they are much lower volume. I drop my car off for Porsche service and I sit in chair and wait for the advisor vs. Audi where I stand in a...
