In the UK the Road Tax regime alters on 1 April so I can only look at already built cars.
I have Rear steering on my 992 but don’t really notice it but then again the Turbo S has it as standard so no way to compare.
I’ve had 3 years of Taycan problems and whilst normally fairly tolerant I’m fed up. 10 years of RS Audis previously and zero issues! Wife’s S3’s since 2014 - faultless!
my question really is - are dot 2 Taycans and new Macan more reliable than the 22/23 Taycans.
Unless it was a deal to die for I won’t be having another Taycan - the Macan would be a compromise! Test drive next week and if I have to I will stick with what I’ve got for another year or two. Just fed up with not knowing if I can rely on it , boot rattles and 200 mile range in cold weather.
I am aware that we are being overwhelmed with Chinese products and European businesses have lost a huge market. China is an oppressive communist regime where human rights are not great. I would rather avoid such products when I can for ethical reasons. Typed on my Chinese made iPhone! ?
This was a 2023 replacement for a 2022 that was off the road regularly with probably all the known problems and recalls.
ok for a year or so apart from dealer failing to do a recall on time, no loan car so had to take another car.
rattle from rear for about a year - 3 visits - finally they...
Ethical purchasing- when there are European options I would rather not support an oppressive Chinese regime. It’s all part of their master plan to take over mass production of many products and created a Chinese monopoly.
I’ve driven gently, locally - seems ok but will need a longer go before pressing any buttons- looking at 4S ( same as my Taycan) with pan roof Bose and a few bits .
I’ve never really been into SUVs for the reason you mentioned- worse handling, poor aerodynamics plus the risk of falling out! However the range seems 50% better and there are no other real EV options. I’m more interested in reliability and range as if I could find a sensible non SUV I would...
Thinking of getting rid of very frustrating Taycan 4S Cross Turismo at 2 years old and possibly replacing with a new Macan 4S - what are the pros and cons?
