Oh, and another thing with the TWC, you have to open it up to all EV's.
That's because the TWC has three settings:
Only your Tesla, identified with the VIN
Only all Tesla's
All EV's.
So if your charging location is accessible to the public you might want to think about that.
I have been charging the Macan sinds september now with the Tesla Wall Connector Gen 3 without any issues. I get the same 11kw I got when I charged my M3.
I also started charging with a schedule that I have set in the app, starting at 02:00 and ending at 05:00. That also works, what I do notice...
I realize that, but the first thing the insurance companies ask for when a car is stolen to get both keys. If one of them was in the car than they won't pay out.
It's in my insurance policy and not even in the fine print.
Just to give my thread a bump...
Anyone technical enough to answer this question: plug and play isn't working again after the non connectivity was solved. I'm not going to make a big deal out of this since everything else is now working again so I'm not going to do a factory reset. But I was...
What I noticed is that sometimes the cover fits and sometimes it sticks out more. I seems that the electric mechanism sometimes pushes the cover out more than at other times.
I don't think the flap is part of the CCS2 design. Here in Europe we have Tesla's with the CCS2 charging port and they don't have that flap.
What we see here is a classic case of if something can go wrong it will go wrong. An engineer came up with this design and thought of a mechanism that...
I just plug it in and it starts charging within 10 seconds or so. I've put the Macan on battery protection so it charges up to 80% and then stops. I also get a message in the My Porsche app that charging is done. I only use the Tesla app when I go to a supercharger but that happens not very...
With my previous M3 I used the planned departure so that alongside the battery being at the requested level, the battery temperature would also be raised so that it could accept a recharge. I don't know if the Macan does that.
My 4 has reached 13.000 km's (I would have to ask George Washington how many miles, feet or inches that is) and so far the only thing that was really bothering me was the lack of internet connectivity that lasted for two months. Otherwise, I have seen one warning that about my seatbelt causing...
I think their factory is using just in time part planning. So the fact that the part is not available to you doesn't mean that that part is not available at all.
I would be very interested in what part they are actually talking about.
I think there's only planned departure and not planned charging. Not sure why that is, many people seem to have the need to plan their charging because of prices of electrons that vary during the day. Seems like an omission in the functionality there.
No, you can do this yourself:
keep pushing button (all the way down, passed resistance) down until window reaches bottom, then let go.
push button down again all the way shortly and let go.
keep pulling button (all the way up, passed resistance) up until window reaches top position, then let...
What you could check is if the window goes down a few milimeters when you're opening the door. I had an issue with the passenger door where this didn't happen anymore so the glass got caught on the hard piece of rubber making it difficult to shut.
It required reprogramming and after that it...
