The left one is the cable cover for the short cables, since they are changeable, in north america the charger comes with 110v nema 5-15 plug and a nema 14-50 50amp plug, so this cover is to use when one of the cable is not in use..
For the right part, i'm not sure what it's for, maybe to be on...
That's not exactly true, i'm not that familiar with what their exact process is but VW corp. has a development center here in the SF Bay Area that is most likely developing MMI PCM and the VW brand stuff all together (Called IECC)
If someone has more insight to that place it would be nice to...
Yes that was the most significant UX change on the car for that upgrade, but it required 2 days of work from a specific Taycan certified tech to get each car done and update software on most modules with the cars, some cars were not able to make it in the first try..
They surly regret it...
that's high hopes.. nothing comes as a software upgrade on Porsche in general, on the taycan they did one huge software UI upgrade in 22, i think they regret it.
it's just silly that the products are not in sync - in the Macan it's Audi MMI with Porsche UX while in the taycan/etron GT it's the...
Bumping this thread for a newbie questions, on the gen 2 Taycan you can numerically display the max charging speed in real time, but i don't see this option in the Macan, am i missing something or it's hidden somewhere on the display menu? in the taycan it's on by default, see image below:
I believe it's not a recall but a workshop campaign,
Recalls are usually for safely and a big legal hustle that Porsche need to send you a notice, and list it on their website that NHTSA pulls, but this campaign is internal so the dealer sees it and lets you know it will be performed when the...
They are replacing all of these older units (made by ABB i think) to the BTCPOWER single cord.
They are more reliable then the older stuff but still not perfect.
In february they replaced the 14 chargers here to the new one, and they still go "unavailable" for days until someone comes to fix...
Unfortunately Juicebox is dead (i had that about a decade ago..)
Wallbox and Grizzl-e are good options for home assistant, i personally use the Ubiquiti EVSE but it seems like it's about to be EOL too and it works great if you already have Unifi Network/Protect, i wouldn't recommend it as a...
ITs pretty crazy that VW corp has not figured it out since the eTron SUV in 2019... i have the same problem there and now on all taycans and recently on the Macan.
With the right dealer, the deals on a Macan/Taycans are very good this month, i just got a 25 4S, i wanted a CPO but it didn't make sense since the all of the promotions were not active for them.
I highly recommend checking the leasehackr forums.
Ended up with a 25 Gentian Blue 4S from SF, they had a nice deal for me!
SC wanted almost 3 times more on a 24 Macan Turbo and somewhat the same on a 24 Macan 4 cpo (probably PCNA Launch spec) so i guess that's why they are stuck with 6 of them and many other CPOs..
Also the new Porsche...
Another fan fact i found is that same Santa Clara dealer has a lot of 6(!!) of a 24 Macan EV 4 in Gentian blue on a launch spec with 102890 MSRP, the spec is really nice with the exception of the wheels.
