Darren. I have a ādraftā order and paid my deposit Last week. I have specād a 4. How long after having a firm order / allocated build date will the actual build date be ? My dealer (who I trust as he never says what I want to hear !) told me that he can guarantee deliver in Q2 but is hopeful...
Been quoted £ 700 from Admiral in the UK and existing insurer NFU (much better cover) is £ 1,000. I have been refused by other insurers and also quoted £4,000 !
Thanks - I found that but find it a bit frustrating that I couldn't scroll through the document, having read the page I have to return to the index. Iāll not waste anymore time trying to find a download and just use āGood To Knowā.
soundman - the CarWow range challenge found the Macan real range to be 320 miles in fairly cold weather with heating set at 20c at a steady 70mph all on motorways and taking the battery from 100% to 0%. It beat the Model Y by 24 miles. Youāll see that he found the āguessometerā to be pessimistic...
I think youāll find that without preheat all EVās take ages to produce warm air. I was told that as EVās donāt have an engine to take the heat from this will be the case. Apparently diesels take longer than petrol as they take longer to reach temperature. But I know nothing !
Yves- thanks for that so if you need heat the range dives by about 50 miles. If that is the case then I may rethink getting the Macan as Lexus solved this on the RZ so on Eco heating only reduces range by about 10 miles. Thanks again
I have just ordered a 4 so have no real experience of the car. One question I have is - when I test drove a 4 the range increased from 250 to 300 when I put the ac / heating on Eco Plus. I looked for this function as my Lexus RZ is exactly the same. My question is - what ac / heating do you...
the UK normal home charging is £ 0.28 / kw (35c). There are much cheaper off peak rates but in my case they charge more for the peak rates. Porsche have a tie up with Ionica and new cars get half normal price for 3 years. Normal Ultra chargers are circa £ 0.80 a $ 1 / kw. Petrol is £ 6.80 /...
