So I took my car to a 2nd dealership to fix the XM SAT antenna error. They've had the car for 3 weeks now waiting on parts. Supposedly, the rear camera recall was never done at the first dealer. This time theyre replacing the camera, (which had no issues to begin with)
Sorry, I forgot to update this thread. I did eventually take it back again. Whatever was loose the first time they ended up replacing and it fixed the issue. It did take some time to get the part, etc.
I guess I wasted money on the pre-wired dashcam but I'm glad I didn't waste more buying the camera or dealer install! after seeing the reverse cam, I wont buy another Porsche camera anytime soon.
I read on other posts you cannot be connected to the car's wifi/Bluetooth and the app at the same time. so this is a known issue. customer service has said the same thing and you only need to connect to the camera app when you're downloading the videos. Maybe this is a good thing to...
wait, they replaced the rear electric motor?! Was this on the service record/invoice?
The reason why I ask is because sometimes the service advisor says one thing but it's actually different on paper...
I was out of town for 2 week and finally got around to installing the camera. The new camera and cable they sent did the trick and both front and rear cameras are working now.
I am having some connection issues with my phone disconnecting from the fitcamx wifi.
I noticed my APP has not displayed the same battery percentage as the car ever since I got the latest software update from Porsche.
I never had issues with incorrect battery percentage until the most recent update
Electrify America slows down significantly for everyone after 80%. Don't be one of those idiots charging past 80%. I have no problem telling people to get out of there once they are past 80%. Different story if there isn't a line of people. Take all the time you have.
It's EA that sets...
The software update didn't resolve my SAT antenna error. After the updates, the error message displays "SAT hardware error" now
Dealer said they didn't see that message during the update, but I showed them the error when I picked up the car. I didn't want to leave the car there again...
I dropped my car off a week ago... i regret it already as I know it's going to take way longer than they estimated. (2 days)
They think this one update fixes all problems....
again, my car is locked and hasn't been unlocked or moved for a week.
The only issues I have with my car (AC again...
fast forward 2 weeks later!
I finally received a new camera from Fitcamx. Unfortunately, i wont be able to install it until after my car is back from the service department getting software updates. The last thing I wanted was for the dealership to blame the dashcam for any issues I had...
Mine did not have those extra vents. I read on another forum that some cameras had software update issues which caused the camera to brick.
I did test my rain sensors with both y plus and it seems to work, so it’s not a wiring issue.
The new y cable they sent did not work. They finally acknowledge that their camera is broken. I requested a new UV filter lens since the one I ordered - I used the adhesive to tape onto the camera before testing it.
so far this has been a very time consuming dash cam installation.
I received the new cable, they look identical but the serial numbers are different. I'll share the part numbers when I try to install the camera again tonight.
It seems this problem is back... The AC at the passenger side footwell keeps blowing. This time I can control the fan speed and temperature, but it absolutely does not turn OFF or redirect. The Front and upper directions work, and the footwell speed adjusts but it just wont close (again)...
