I had several errors when trying to unlock the car via the app + you need an internet connection. If there is no internet, you can’t unlock the car. At this point I would highly advice against this plan, but you do you. Have a plan b at least.

The problem is, unlocking the car via app takes Forever. And you can’t drive the car without key. Don’t think it’s as fast as the Tesla app, nothing near.

Compared to my model s plaid the seat needed some getting used to. The plaid felt like TV chair, i instantly got along with it. The macan feels somewhat different. More sporty, less comfort but without being really uncomfortable. Don’t know if this is angle related or something.

My understanding is that phonekey and comfort entry uses the same hardware. I would be more then surprised if comfort entry would not be necessary. Remote controlling the car from the app is a totally different thing, has nothing to do with phonekey hardware wise.

Im in Germany and I have no choice to set up a phone key yet. So it’s not even released by now

Okay, that’d be big…. Waiting for the new CarPlay as well. the macan is equipped with UWB, so an hardware upgrade would not be needed.
