After some more research, I found an old 2018 ICE Macan post about something similar and the solution was to hold the mirror button on the door for 1 sec. So, just for fun, I tried that. At first nothing happened...pressed longer, still nothing, then let go and all of a sudden the dashboard...
Has anyone seen this problem...I just parked and locked the car...came back and unlocked and went to drive away and noticed my mirrors still in the lock position...turned-in so you can't use them. Tried a few times and then manually moved them back into the correct position...they pop out and...
I thought that was the issue too...but sometimes all the pressing I could do would not open the door...until I repositioned the car then it worked first time. I'll try the antenna idea next.
I came home yesterday and it would not open...I park on left side of my driveway. So I reparked directly in front of the door and it worked fine. So it's a range thing. Good to know.
I just got a recall notice today for "rear view image may not consistently display in reverse.." Both software and possible hardware (water leakage). Had the headlight one a few months ago.
I've had a problem with mine for awhile...about 10% of the time it does not work. Next day it's fine. I don't know if it is range or whatever...but now it's the only problem I have with the car after the first couple of months. I'll try some different parking positions and see. Cheers
Ok, what is going to happen if in 3 years, the lease needs $50K to buy it out but you can buy other, similar cars (same spec/milage) for $40K. You can give it back but then they are stuck with it or offer less than the contract amount?? That ever happen? Otherwise, what are they going to do...
Ha, sorry about that...Jane was the first name that came to mind...but Ginger was my old dog. Also, on side note, Ginger was the main dog in the old Farside cartoons:)
I tried the Sto N Sho and it lasted a week before it I hit something and it bent badly:( In the trunk now...just too low. I do set the car to the low level in Sport, which I use mostly.
Picked my car up today after the Software update. Took 4 days! I asked them to charge up the battery for me before I pick it up...they didn't so I waited. Took 45 min. figure out the new software does not play well with their high speed chargers! They thought the shop charger would work but...
Now for my car, I have not found any option to turn re-gen off or on. Is this an option that not in my car or on US models? If I drive down hill and coast there is a bit of regen happening. When I lightly touch the brakes, the regen increases. Note that the amount of regen is dependent on the...
Thanks for the comments about the socket. I do note that the red lights only happened with 100% charging...at 50%, no problem. So the higher current is the trigger for the issue I think.
The touch on the trunk, the charge cover doors and the touch to lock on the door handles are silly and work maybe 30% of the time. I mostly use the key now. The charge door is the only one I really need. My rattle was the passenger seat belt buckle banging against the side of the door cover...
I had the exact same thing happen with mine. In my case, I've used the charger in the 50% mode for several months. A week ago I switched it to 100% and charged the car. After it charged I noticed the red lights. I disconnected and figured it would reset itself...several days later I noticed...
I know this is not related to the OP's problem but when the car is locked, the charge doors will not open even if you have your key fob. If you open the rear door first, then the charge doors will open correctly. I thought I had a problem till I figured that out.
