I clearly got lucky. Ordered my 4S late December, it was built by late Feb, including a very last minute addition to spec (comfort access, I was out of date by about 5 years in how it works, so pleased I made the change and I hope to get phone key when it comes out). Picked it up late March...
I have found Octopus intelligent go to work flawlessly since April. On initial setup I couldnāt register the car so I changed to letting the Hypervolt 3 be in charge. A big benefit of that that I wasnāt aware of is that despite Octopus saying you can only have one car registered, the charger...
In response to earlier comments about other manufacturers not delivering big changes OTA, a friend had Blue drive (auto driving) enabled on a 2.5 year Old Ford Mustang over the summer. We have had a Mini electric since Jan and are on at least our third software update, there was another one...
To me most of these new things seem to be software changes only. Letās hope they are applied retrospectively via an update. I like the sound of most of them, the key on your phone and the parking/camera display changes sound good.
I have only used it on a pretty rough track and it worked well. I guess you have more suspension travel to smooth out the bumps and I was grateful for the extra ground clearance over the centre bit of the track. I didnāt hear any scrapes š. My default setting is sport on road, I find normal a...
I have just done a fresh quote (7,500 miles pa) and the net is the same as I pay. Gross before all the NI and tax savings is £1,832, which is basically the figure Porsche have quoted you if my maths is correct.
It does seem extortionate. I have a pretty good comparator - I picked up my 4S at the end of March. List price Ā£87,700. Via company car salary sacrifice I am paying Ā£1,036/mth, Ā£37,300 over 3 years all in. The monthly price actually dropped about Ā£50 after I got mine, havenāt checked for a while.
Yes, that is the final net cost to me. 7,500 miles, 3 years. I priced my car up again last week, and was surprised to see it was lower, now £960 I think which is annoying!
Just to add my figure in case it helps. I picked up a 4S just over a month ago with just over £10k of options and pay £1036. Blinding deal, and hoping for a bit more back in my tax return.
Spec code - PS6WHRW1
On my first journey back from the dealership I turned the auto speed limits feature on by accident. Was happily cruising along at 85 when the car slammed on the brakes. It did it several times, then I worked it out. Will never use again unless there is a way to apply a margin to each posted...
No OTA for me in the 4 days I have had the car! We got a Mini electric in late Jan though, and that has already had an update. It did make a few changes, I canāt remember all of them, but for example the go-kart speedometer gained battery temp and a g meter. Not huge, but felt like a Apple...
I picked my 4S up last week and am so pleased I specced the rear wiper. My previous car was a Gran coupe BMW which doesnāt have one, and while not the end of the world, there were enough times when I wished I had it.
I havenāt driven a car with noise insulating glass, but my car is incredibly...
Mine updated within seconds yesterday morning. I happened to notice because I had sent a route to the car, and I wondered why I was arriving an hour earlier than expected (it was only 8am, I was still half asleep), then it changed to an hour later almost immediately.
I was particularly...
We got an electric Mini in January, and that has a very nice implementation of phone as a key. We have never used the actual keys, we just walk up to the car with our phone in our pocket, the lights flash when a few feet away, get in and drive off.
This did in fact prompt me to urgently contact...
