Thieves are almost always targeting watches with the greatest mass market appeal (like Rolex) versus some more obscure high horology brands unknown to the average non watch enthusiast.
Still so many style elements are shared between many luxury brands, some watches may be mistaken by a thief...

Stopped by a local Omega Boutique hoping to check out the new Speedmaster 57,and by luck they had a piece in stock. It was already spoken for but they let me check it out.

The new Caliber 9906 used in the 2022 Speedmaster 57 is a manual wind, not the same automatic movement that's found in the other models you mention above. That may be some source of confusion. Here's a stock image of the case back in case you're skeptical:
Replaced the leather strap on my SBGM241 with a compatible factory GS bracelet I sourced from Asia.

1. Find a watch with a mechanical movement if you want a skeletonized watch, either an automatic self-winder, or a manual wind movement
