While I always save and wait until I can get my next vehicle with every option I wish — and will definitely be getting a Turbo , I very much like the two sentence post of PrudentOcean ( # 3) when he wrote…
“ You'll enjoy the features of the 4S every time you drive it, whereas you'd feel the...
The roof rails are very nicely done, e.g., imo integrating onto the roof as aesthetically pleasing as could be. While not getting them, that integration was “well done Porsche.”
Guesing but waiting for someone here to know specifically or Porsche to confirm, we will get notice of all 2026 changes in around June? Hope it is sooner than that.
Interesting wheel range factoid for the Turbo models wheels (though not a new one). The 22” “Macan Style’ — wheel pictured below, which Porche describes as “aero,” not only gets better range than every other 22” wheel, but also better than the three 21” options — and is second overall only to...
“Active Ride” is an excellent rde/suspension enhancing option just for the reasons you described, though at $7,140 plus the required companion option of $1,500 PTSV+, that is one expensive choice especially if one is only or primarily looking at the issue of easier height at egress and entry —...
Thank you Laurent95. Great science for our consideration. Confirming what and why many have experienced with most of our members’ Macans starting to arrive for in fall/winter — with your adding in a lot of science/physics as to why lots of range disappointment here. We cannot wait to see the...
Same 20 mile range drop in my BMW iX, i.e., I eft my roughly 70 degree garage with 174 mile range but by the time I had gone 1 mile it was 21 miles less.
Good point craz8, that we all should first check with our electric utility. Mine offers $250 off for new EVSE install (either a direct check to the customer or a bill credit).
If i were installing a new one right now, I would get a Chargepoint hard wired one. They are rated so highly by folks I trust, e.g., such as Tom McLoughney @ StateOfCharge. And still inspite of Porsche sale pricing, the Charepoint is $450 less.
In these pictures and in the configurator option section we see the taillight/light strip options as “satin black, “black,” and “Glacier Blue.” Yet I also see in one picture below white tailights. Is the white standard? If not, how does one get white tailight lettering please?
Really like your car NicoLib.
On a test drive, sun coming in directly from the driver’s side, the demo car’s silver window surround trim reflected too brightly, e.g., as posted above, the black window trim, turbonite, or standard non-turbo plastic would also consequently advisable to me.
I like the diversity of our opinions. Porsche did well in creating these five wheels that with the exception of the ones I like most (the overall least liked category D), there are positive votes/choices for all the rest, e.g., better than 1 in 5 for the five different ones in the poll...
Understand and feel that mentality too. We put up with the gas station for our gas guzzling Z06 (though now its in winter hibernation), but other than its gas station use we have not been to a station in over a year. We love our EV, e.g., garage charging it 95% of the time.
Does choosing the Compass/Altimter option instead of the Sport Chrono therefore mean that one will or will not get PAA? As Dave pointed out we can get compass and altimater through nav and the one of the driver’s display info line, seems to me that a fair amount is being lost if one chooses...
