i totally agree. i think the 4S is fast but like low-key fast.
when i accelerated on the highway, my first thought was "wow this is lackluster" but then i looked at the speedometer and i was already at 90 mph lol.
i think the macan is also much quieter and more stable than the tesla so it...
Nice write up, sorry to hear about your troubles, hope it gets fixed soon!
one thing I don’t think you covered was ALK vs autopilot. I also came from a Tesla and I thought ALK was pretty good for normal everyday highway driving. I think ALK handles lane merging/splitting better (like when 2...
How’s this for day 1 efficiency haha
granted I spent a ton of time just sitting in the car going through the settings mixed in with some launches lol
My 4S timeline -- held at port for a couple weeks (assuming cause of headlight recall), was ready for pickup the day after it finally arrived at dealer
the dealership model has got to go... so many upsells and shady tactics. really complicated the pickup process and made everything way longer...
My SA messaged me today with news that my car has finally been delivered to dealership and included some pics... very first thing i did was zoom in to the charge port doors to see if i can spot any misalignment ?
didn't see any, but the pic is also from pretty far away haha. will be one of the...
I also found this thread in the taycan forum which covers buying out lease
https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/any-leaseholders-considering-buying-out-their-lease.12317/post-184823
i was told there is a clawback on the 7500 if you buyout too soon; i was told by SA it's 1 yr, but i haven't verified this.
regarding the sales tax savings, that is assuming you don't purchase the vehicle at lease end -- i believe paying the residual incurs sales tax.
i have a 4S pickup coming up, was leaning towards cash purchase, but after checking this thread, it inspired me to look into lease terms with my SA.
cash price out-the-door (incl taxes/fees): ~$110,000
lease details:
$5,500 down, 24 months, 10k miles, monthly payment ~$1,900 (incl taxes)...
as this will be my first porsche, im curious if porsche being "aware of your concern" is code for "stop complaining" or do they generally go above and beyond in customer service?
Thanks for shedding some “light” on this haha ?
Yes I checked the option codes and we are talking about the same option. In USA it’s recently changed to “Exclusive Design Taillights” and it’s available in black or blue.
Appearance-wise, it’s so similar to the standard option that it leads me...
Does anyone know what the difference is between "Exclusive Design Taillights" and the standard taillights? The previous description said something about going/leaving home light animation but looks like that wording has been removed.
The current description says brake lights are blacked out...
Thank you! I've decided on the ice grey with side blades in body color. I'm guessing ice grey will be the most selected color haha because as you said, it's safe but interesting.
Hi @mako, thanks for sharing these pictures! I am actually stuck between ice grey and dolomite with my freeze date coming up next week. Do you have any side-by-side pictures of the 2 colors? Or any thoughts you can share about your in-person impressions would be really helpful!
