Hello, I'm almost sure I'm right, but want to double check. Does Macan EV have an adaptive regenerative braking, meaning when you coast (release gas pedal and don't touch brakes), it goes using inertia until it sees the car in front and distance is decreasing, then it starts using regenerative...
OK, I have charged it to 90% using street AC charger and left overnight. BTW it reached 90% without stopping earlier. When I started the car next morning (it sat at least 12 hours, and it was quite cold) with the intention to drive at least 500km, it showed 91%. All the problems with sudden...
In the neighbor thread the owner who has similar problem (10% SoC loss in 10 days) says that some parts need to be changed, so it looks like simple rebalancing might not work.
I reread my message and see how I contradict myself. "Problem is not in DC fast charge, but car got more power from DC stations than from AC". I wanted to say that I don't have problem with DC fast charge power limit, but the car never saw DC charge with power less than 160 kW. Probably the real...
Thank you, I will definitely give it a try (especially because this is so simple), maybe will buy OBD2 dongle or use somebody who has one and check the disbalance before the procedure. But I must admit that I have no issues with DC fast charging. The problem caught us when we were on the long...
I also think sudden changes in SoC happen because of some recalibration. My problem is with SoC display being so inaccurate, you don't know how much range is left. Especially when it starts losing 1% per 2km vs 5km, and then 40-70% charge takes 20kWh instead of 30. So at the end this is no more...
So, ours does both - loses SoC when plugged in, and loses it when not plugged in. How nice... Some people admit the former, and some the latter, I seem to be the only one with both. Owner in neighbor thread who has SoC loss when not plugged in brought the car in for inspection, hope we will see...
Yes, I did, we have two EVs (Macan is actually a daily driver for my wife, but we took it for the long trip to Berlin) and in case they must be charged the same night - two EVSEs. Same picture, same current chart. Both EVSEs are perfectly fine when charging BMW iX. Problem is not with the EVSE...
That was the temperature of the wall charger, not the car battery. Graph is from the cloud service of the smart wall box manufacturer. Just got an idea of talking to their support to confirm that car indeed asks for those 2-3A of current, maybe they will setup debugging session when I'm back and...
Sorry, I put more emphasis on inability to reach target SoC, while I'm more concerned with losing charge while parked. It is unplugged now, while it loses charge, around 1% per day. So far, I have found 2 similar cases on forums, people are not too much concerned, nobody contacted the dealer...
I started experiencing the same problem recently. IMO this is definitely wrong and must be fixed, but problem seems to be rare. Anyone else with the same issue? Are you going to call the dealer?
This started abruptly, but quite early in car's life - at around 6K km. Before that everything was perfect. I have a charging target of 80%, and smart wall charger which starts the charging on schedule, usually at 11PM or 12AM, so we plug it in and leave it, charging will start at night and will...
