Have seen one in Portland and zero driving 4,000 mles from PEC ATL to Portland.
I tell anyone interested to "Drive it like a Porsche and you will love it."
And "Lock it when you leave it, even at home in the garage." - it resets itself and treats you well. One small issue after the first...
After 4 1/2 years with a 2020 Taycan Turbo S and 5,000 miles with a 2024 Macan electric turbo, I would not depend on more than 10 miles of range at 10% battery level, especially with hills or mountains. The vehicles will start shutting down every non-essential device and complain bitterly, but...
It means 3 psi higher than normal (or optimum).
Ours has displayed -1 for a month of cold weather but rises above normal fairly quickly during highway speeds. I leave it low in case of snow.
If you can afford both, keep your Taycan and buy a Macan electric (4S or turbo if you are familiar with a Taycan). If you only want one, the Macan is a more universal choice.
If you can afford it and only want one, buy a 2025 Taycan with Active Ride (computer-controlled hydraulic rams instead...

We are at 4,742 miles to date after also picking up our Macan turbo electric at PEC ATL and driving to Portland, Oregon - just a few more miles than you, daveo4EV.
Love turbo and our experience driving it across the US during the bomb cyclone showed just how stable and strong this...
We drove 4,000 miles from PEC ATL to Oregon with the powered port on our 2024 Turbo electric closing the DC flap perfectly … until it doesn’t. At home, the port door slammed into the DC flap repeatedly until it broke the flap hinge.
Had I found the port closure control quickly enough, the DC...
During our 4,000-mile trip from PEC ATL to Oregon, it became clear that truck stops are great places to install High-Power EV chargers - they have many amenities travelers need and some emergency provisions. They are, however, mostly EV ignorant, even the ones with EV chargers. We were surprised...
On our 4,000-mile trip from PEC ATL to Oregon, we had only the first installation hiccup and it was promptly fixed by a phone call to Porsche Connect. However, our charge at a Tesla Supercharger turned off "Plug & Charge" in the PCM and the next Electrify America successful Plug & Charge...
After 4+ years in our 2020 Taycan Turbo S and 4,000 miles in our Macan Turbo, I use this rule of thumb:
20% will be about 40 miles
10% will be 10 miles
My experience may be tempered by a lot of hills and mountains in western Oregon, but it seems to work everywhere. The lowest I have rolled in...
Hold mode is very sensitive to a sloped surface. We live on a hill and our driveway is also sloped. Pulling or backing out to the street is often a dance with how quickly the Macan (and our Taycan) wants to engage HOLD. If I time it perfectly, I can switch from backing up to forward without HOLD...
Select Vehicle >> Assistance >> âš™ >> Assistance systems settings >> Speed Limit Assist
allows you to manually or automatically select speed limits.
After four years+ of driving a Taycan that slows down for school on Sundays, we use manual.
Too our surprise, our 2024 Macan Turbo PCM led us to a Tesla Supercharger with Magic Docks in Indiana - our first Tesla experience. Local Maintenance guy showed me how to press and hold the button on the Tesla plug for 2 seconds to remove it with the Magic Dock adapter attached.
Had to download...
Every Porsche with a PCM system benefits from being locked for 15 minutes with no key within 30 feet, even in your garage. The vehicle clears system errors if it sets locked and away from nearby keys or activity. We lock all our Porsche vehicles when we arrive home and keep the second key in a...
We use AC all year. Two reasons:
- Keeps seals from drying
- “Dryer Mode” to minimize dampness and fogging windows - especially important if getting into vehicle with rain or snow on clothes.
Charge ports opening was not my concern in our first high-tech touchless car wash - the frunk hood opening was! The wash was so powerful it triggered the hood open but would not let it pop up - the hood caught the safety latch but allowed a ton of water into the frunk.
Our Turbo was the first Macan Electric delivered by PEC ATL and we expected to beat you to the west coast but we were delayed in NC by a death in the family. We left Kernersville, NC 16 NOV and arrived in Portland, Oregon Friday, 22 NOV via I-80 & I-84.
The PCM routing and charge...
