    Drivers Side B-Pillar Flex

From another thread, one of the bulletins available for the Macan EV is this one for b-pillar rattles - https://dot.report/bulletins/11025104 There is a process for the dealer to follow to get this paid for under warranty (and fix the problem for you!). Most of this paperwork seems to be...

I've heard this once - sounded like a compressor running. I have a video, with audio of the noise.

Macan EV w dashcam wiring - install trouble

There’s a whole thread with details on the fuses, how to access the pre install and specifically Viofo cameras and others. There is documentation right here. For my installer, it was easier to run the back camera coax in his standard way down the roofline on the passenger side and skip the pre...

Dashcam installation issues -- fuse box location?

Viofo cameras do have the ability to detect motion to go into Parking Mode, but the full wiring adaptor is a more reliable system, and I think uses less power since it doesn't have to detect motion to turn on fully again.

Dashcam installation issues -- fuse box location?

The Viofo HK6, like the HK4 that I have, requires both a ACC AND an unswitched connection to detect when the car is off to enable its low powered mode for parking So this IS required, but doesn’t solve the lack of an easy ACC connection in the cabin

[Review] - Porsche's problem in a 27 min review video

As a customer, this is true, but if I'm the Porsche CEO, then I have a problem, since this customer WAS someone who would have looked at a Macan, but now will not, since the EV starts $15,000 higher. Since this pricing bump was clearly a choice, if you're a Porsche executive, you can't now be...

[Review] - Porsche's problem in a 27 min review video

Someone needs to review a 2025 Macan S vs a Macan 4 with similar options. Is the difference in price worth the extra options. For many, that answer is likely 'nope', and they can buy a base Macan for even less money (except in the EU)! Launching a replacement that starts at $15k+ more than the...

More comfort, smarter assistance and enhanced entertainment for the Porsche Macan

It seems the European Nose Weight is much lower than the US tongue weight. Presumably due to the difference in towing package construction - US does not have the hidden ball mechanism In the US, the current weight is 200kg, for Europe it seems to be 80kg And now I know that nose and tongue...

More comfort, smarter assistance and enhanced entertainment for the Porsche Macan

Indeed, but this data is incorrect, since the new towing package allows 2500kg now Also the tongue weight is not in this document anyway. An internet search doesn’t help as every Porsche dealer has posted the wrong towing data for the new GTS. I’m in no rush, so I’ll wait until the data...

More comfort, smarter assistance and enhanced entertainment for the Porsche Macan

Pulling this forward to find out more. I've not seen anywhere about the new tongue weight for the updated towing specs - previously 200kg/440lbs (10% of the towing capacity) I'm toying with looking at a small airstream - 16 or 20ft - that is within the weight limit, but has a tongue weight...

Want larger time display on screen in Macan 4s 2025

I don't believe it is possible to change that info display section As suggested, the new Apple CarPlay widgets have a clock widget available, so you can display that pretty easily. Or wait for cooler clocks from third-parties. Here's an example I found on the internets with a left and right...

Does your Macan EV keep SoC stable when left idle for a week or longer?

There is another SOC drop mode too, that I had recently. Plugged in to the EVSE. SOC reports as stable, no drop at all, for 12 days. On day 13, it drops by 12%+, triggering a charge from the EVSE when that's schedule allows. One of 2 things could have happened here - a constant drop of 1% per...

Rivian Charging Network available for Porsche Macan owners?

Rivian have been enabling non-rivian charging across their network. I’ve used one station to charge, and it worked ok. Their app/site shows which stations are available to others, but isn’t needed for charging (unless the credit card reader fails!) There’s no manufacturer enablement needed...

FROZEN BLUE Macan EV Photos Thread

These are RaceDeck FreeFlow XLC - these are thicker than the regular sized ones. I bought both the small and large ones to try out, and the small ones felt more plasticy, where the XLC ones are thicker and heavier. I think the extra weight has helped them not pull up when not driving straight...

Macan 4 suddenly charging at 3.9 kW on 48 amp charger

The ChargePoint EVSE allows you to select the amps served. Their app has a place to configure it. it might have got confused, or maybe reset to defaults, and now is only serving 15-16 amps? I have mine configured for 20 amps (and timed limited) to mostly charge from my solar panels when it’s sunny

How low do you go with battery before recharging?

In the summer, I've got my Chargepoint scheduled for the sunniest part of the day, at 20amps (4.8kw), to keep topped up with solar power. I also set max charge to 65% for day-to-day, as I don't drive much on a daily basis. I plug in most days. For the winter months, I'll change to middle of the...

    Battery Drain Overnight?

I had exactly this same problem - 12 days of zero reported drain and a sudden 10%+ drop overnight - a few weeks ago whilst I was away. Mine was plugged into the charger during this time. I have not DC charged in a while, so I don't know if that symptom is present
