My anxiety is not so much range, its that finding all the chargers are broken at the stop. Happened to me locally last week. Then yesterday plug and charge would not connect and I spent 15 minutes on the phone with EA going through the check list before they authorizing the connection remotely (couldn't start via the Porsche app either). Then it blew right through the 80% set point and was at 85% when I noticed. I had to push the cancel button on the charger. So it didn't want to start charging nor did it want to stop charging ? . The EA rep suggested checking with Porsche to verify my account..
Thats so awesome! I visit family in Vancouver often and have done the drive to Banff but never in an ev. I thought about it but didnt dive into the research, didn't think it was possible yet. Mind if you share your charging stops? Did you log your planned eta milage remaining vs actual etc? What was the glitch at the one station? Was it resovled by chainging to a different charging stall?
We checked where the Electrify Canada stations were before we headed out and also checked mileage to get to each point and it worked out well with mileage to spare in case stations were unavailable. Stayed over in Salmon arm. See below stops from Burnaby BC to Canmore AB:

Have fun! It takes a few minutes for the charging station to connect to the Porsche app! Sometimes we get impatient and accidentally unplug it or disconnect the app. If you do, you have to put the charging adaptor back onto the holder, make sure to cancel charging on the app. Then start over. Plug in first, select the location, select the station number then start! Good luck!

in europe i get the informations: how many chargers, how fast, how many chargers are in use. is this not the case in the us?
It does show what chargers are available in North America too.

Status is available in NA, but status doen't seem to be all that reliable everywhere. There are more than a few chargers that show as good/available but aren't working (several different EV brands unable to connect). I was a local EA station Sunday morning that showed all 4 chargers operational but two would not connect to any brand vehicle except for a couple at a low rate.

Then the kW available at level 2 chargers is often way off.

I may have exaggerated my anxiety, but the route I often travel cross country, when out of the cities, may have one or two fast charger stations in 500 miles. Even driving an ICE you have to do some planning as there are 50-100 mile stretches without fuel stops.

But there are many more level 1 and 2 chargers scattered about that can be used when plan D falls through. During my last road trip I went on a two hour hike while plugged into a level 2 that was providing 7kW. 14kW gave me about 40 miles, just enough squeeze into a fast charger, where I get over 200 miles in 30 minutes. I was late for dinner ?

In the end, it is just a time thing, maybe an extra hotel night, rather than being stranded. DC stations usually get fixed eventually, but a 10 hour road trip can easily stretch to 20.

The situation should improve significantly when Porsche cars get access to Tesla chargers.
