So you've just confirmed it has nothing to do with the vehicle NEEDING a service, but that Porsche are just shambolically organised and money-grabbing, which is my point. Thank you for clearing that up!
I can say with certainty that Porsche are THE WORST premium brand I have dealt with, bar none.
Oh dear, another 'RTFM' accolite..... The clue is in the user name. 🙄
If that were true, why would the car and the app say different? And why does the distance and long stop date jeep changing......
Condition based servicing, especially on EVs, has overtaken the metronomic servicing of old...
My Macan 4 was registered in late May 2025. It has done 14,500 miles since then.
The car and app both indicate the next service is due in 11,00 miles or July 2027, whichever comes sooner.
Why then is the dealer hounding me with messages saying the car needs to be serviced as its 9 months...
My 2025 Macan 4 has, since delivery had a rattle from the front passenger headrest, which I have finally traced to the clip that you push to allow retraction of the headrest front section. If I hold the clip firmly, the rattle stops.
I'm interested if anyone else has experienced the same, and...
My previous car, a BMW i4, drove almost as well as the Macan and yet the tech was light years ahead. You're right about a toxic/abuse relationship, and that's sad, as companies need to understand what drives people to choose one vehicle/manufacturer over another.
Interestingly, my colleague at...
I'm glad its not just me! I love driving the car, but the tech is so practically steam age by comparison. The lack of PaaK is one of the most glaring omissions of all.
I'm currently seriously considering changing back to BMW and the new iX3, which from reviews appears to be light years ahead in...
I had to book my month old Macan in for the WSJ0 software update. It was done yesterday and took, wait for it, over 6 hours!!!!!!
How on earth is a company of Porsche's supposed expertise and brand value so far behind other companies? Porsche don't even offer simple OTA updates, yet my last 3...
This started last week. On getting in the car, Android Auto starts and I get a warning message, saying my phone battery is almost exhausted and needs charging, yet the phone is fully charged.
No recent phone updates installed, and no car software update. Is anyone else seeing this? I note that...
I have the same type of issue with creaking from the passenger side front sear belt height adjuster plastic housing. However, it's all the time, not just when hot. Very annoying and always there...... ?
I have been trying to establish the same. It's not in the onboard help section and I can't seem to find any reference to it in the online documentation either.
@Petzi You don't read people's posts and try to understand their point of view - you seem to think everyone should be like you.
I am not ignorant - I have read the manual, called the Porsche Connect team (about as useful as a block of ice in a sauna) and spoken to the dealer's team on multiple...
@Petzi Well aside from: why is the PCM is so dreadful? - it's very simple. Why are you prepared to accept a hugely substandard product and tell anyone who complains about it that it's just "part of the Porsche experience"? ?
Yet again, Petzi, you are being rude and are ill-informed. As the OP, I fully agree with dbsb3233 - the Porsche PCM is littered with bugs. You may like to delude yourself into thinking this is some mythical Porsche philosophy thing, but it's down right crap software engineering - I should know...
I've been trying to establish what the icons and coloured dots mean in the connectivity area of the PCM screen.
As far as I can ascertain, the 4G (LTE) means that the ar has connectivity for Porsche Connect. The bars icon is my phone's signal strength.
But what are the 2 dots? In the image...
