  1. Bose Sound Pack - Opinions

With other Porsche models people have had good luck upgrading the drivers to Burmester, Morel, Audio Frog etc. I wonder if the same drivers are used in the Macan EV as other Porsches? I’ve seen upgrades for the petrol Macan but it’s not clear how similar the audio systems are.
  2. Self-parking curb rash

Glad to hear it works well in tight european spots. To be fair I don’t street park all that often - when I do I look for a spot that I think I can get into and the cars in front / back of me can get out of. If I need to park a distance away the walk is good for me. We also have a Kia Niro Ev...
  3. Self-parking curb rash

you’re welcome - I buy a Porsche to drive it – not to be driven by it or in this case parked by it. I don’t even let 1/2 my cars shift their own gears :). To be fair I do like the ACC and lane centering when on the highway – even works well on twisty mountain roads - but what’s the point of...
  4. A complete tour of the Cayenne EV battery factory

It would be interesting to know how much of the skateboard is shared with the Macan - Porsche is all about iterating on what works vs clean sheet
  5. Self-parking curb rash

the original issue was that the self parking put us too tight to the curb - It looked like it was touching from the overhead view but I assumed it was not as close as it looked and the car knew what is was doing. The manual warns that self parking can damage your wheel - check!
  6. Self-parking curb rash

bingo - yes we do have rear wheel steering - I bet when my wife turned the wheel to the left lock the rear wheels turned into the curb. Would the self un-park be able to disable the rear wheel steering to prevent this or even aware that this particular car has that option?
  7. 2026 Software Update via Dealer - What does it do exactly?

I updated the iphone app and at startup it highlights new financial services features and the ability to export trips. The only thing I’ve noticed in the UI is that it shows the time it last checked the car’s status - before it just stated “up to date”. I’ve never found any way to check the...
  8. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System same as other Porsches?

Did you ever give the Audi part a try? The Porsche sensor is marked up 10x
  9. Electric Sport Sound - equip it or not?

We bought a CPO car with it as an option. I love the sound of an ICE engine and the AVAS is much better than our Kia but I see no reason to add fake sound to an EV. On the highway, it sounded like a tire was going out of round or cupped. If you enjoy video games perhaps you’d like it.
  10. Custom Cubby Organizer (3D Print)

can someone recommend a US based site to get this printed?
  11. Self-parking curb rash

These driving assistance systems have a long way to go before you can rely on them. It reminds me of the early days of ABS - until the bugs go worked out, many distrusted it and still pumped the brakes. Now everyone assume ABS etc will do its job far better than they can. Can you imagine...
  12. Self-parking curb rash

The intent of the post was to warn others since these wheels are expensive to fix or replace and most people who spend time on car forums would rather learn about it here first. I benefited from the reading through all the early growing pains / bugs / fixes. Without forums like this and...
  13. Self-parking curb rash

I think I’ll just skip it -Both my wife and I know how to parallel park - we were just playing with it and paid the price - personally I’ve never curbed a wheel. It was also very slow to find a spot to park in - it seemed to irritate people that drove up while it was trying. We had to cancel...
