  1. Comfort Vs Sports seats

Ive been driving over a year in the 14 way comfort seats and find them super comfortable making long trips easy. My wife and kids agree that these are great seats and much more comfortable than our old Audi A7
  2. Thule Roofbox experiences & compatibility

I transferred the Wingbar Evo from my previous car after buying the correct feet for the Macan. I compared the Porsche roof box with a similar size Thule (430l) and ended up getting the Porsche as it was cheaper. I need all the space for snowboards and skis and have been very happy with it so...
  3. Key fob icons wearing off after only 1 year

Thanks to all for the comments. I decided to protect it with this: https://amzn.eu/d/5uWco1r
  4. Key fob icons wearing off after only 1 year

Anyone else having this issue? Any ideas on a solution as I imagine they’ll wear completely off during the next year?
  5. [Thoughts] - Macan 4 Loaner vs. Macan Turbo EV (owned)

Thanks for the detailed overview. I have a 4 with full leather and am very happy with it. Your review makes me feel good about my choice.
  6. 2025 Macan EV Production & Sales Numbers (and more model level info)

After a year of driving in the south of France I’ve probably seen less than 10 Macan EV’s. The most common Porsche around here is the Cayenne Hybrid
  7. Did anyone option the air filtration system? Opinions?

I had a similar system in my previous car, an Audi A7. I found that when I used the ionizer I would end up with a fine coat of dust all over the dash so I stopped using it. For this reason I didn’t option it on my 4
  8. Impact of cruising speed on range

I agree completely with what you say here. In the a year of driving my Macon, I’ve discovered that charging speed is as or more important than range. I’ve been driving throughout Europe and rarely will want to be at the wheel for more than three hours at a time, so we always stop and take a...
  9. European Matrix Lights: some thoughts

Coming from my previous car, an Audi A7 with matrix lights, I am so far disappointed in the matrix lights in the Macan 4. They only become active at 60km, and I’ve found myself on small country roads needing them at speeds well below this. They also seem less sophisticated than the Audi version...
  10. OTA update - WiFi or over cell connection?

Although I clicked the Porsche app where appropriate to receive OTA updates, I don’t think any have come (although I don’t know how we’d be notified). I connected my Macan to my home WiFi network and was wondering if this is how they might be delivered (although when the car if off the...
  11. Preconditioning & charging planner

Thanks for all this info and the tips. I’ll be driving to the Alps soon and have not yet experienced cold weather driving and charging. Will my battery warm up enough if I charge it from my home charger (7kw) before leaving? I will definitely use the Porsche nav planner to get that...
  12. Preconditioning & charging planner

Very impressive and detailed analysis. Thanks for this. With so much to consider, I think I’ll just let the car do its thing. 😊
  13. Preconditioning & charging planner

Yes but I’m not sure the car will precondition on the way there
  14. My Porsche app: New ‘Online Software Update’ / OTA Function?

I just restarted my iphone and it shows active now. Wondering what ā€œone time activation ā€œ actually means. Also wonder how we will be alerted about an update
  15. Disabling movement alarm when on a ferry?

Think I just found what I was doing wrong. The car must be already locked when you push the lock key twice. I was pushing it twice while it was unlocked. So it takes two separate operations with the key: 1) lock the car normally; 2) push the lock button twice.
