In this thread, @PastaSource linked the recent WhatCar updates that covered the Macan GTS, it talks a bit about suspension on UK roads.
I recently had a Macan 4 with air suspension, it ironed out pot holes and bumps very nicely, and at the same time, was not wallowy.
The updated overview particularly addresses some concerns I have, and indeed, wrt ride quality, I just emailed my local dealer this morning. Ultimately, I will want a test drive, but it seems like the GTS is not available as a tester yet.
"The cheaper versions don't feel especially fast and...
Thanks for your insights, sadly, I'll get hit with the luxury car tax now, and of course pay-per-mile if that eventually goes ahead.
I've just spec'd up a 4S - £101,271, Turbo - £111,458, and GTS - £101,665. The GTS, which I had not initially considered, seems like the best option, because it...
As I mentioned, I drove the Macan 4, it's smooth, but not what I'd call 'quick'. There is no punch when accelerating, I don't mean from launch control, I mean slow rolling then accelerate - it was mediocre. Not a slouch, but not a wow either.
In the UK, we have speed limits that any car can...
Thanks, I've not tried the 4S, the dealer only has a 4 - that's not quite enough for my 'normal' driving :CWL:!
I'll try to get in a Turbo for a test drive, but they don't seem readily available for test drives.
I'm considering a 4S as I found the 4 a bit lacklustre. On the configurator, I fell in to the options trap and thought I'd go all in and go for a Turbo instead, as the price gap starts to close when you consider the options on the 4S that come as standard equipment on the Turbo (a bit of desire...
I recently had a loaner Macan 4 with 14-way comfort seats. My wife found it tricky to get out of the car due to the bolsters on the base and height of the vehicle, a real problem for us!
However, the dealer had a Macan GTS with 18-way seats in the showroom. My wife did not find the bolsters any...
Earlier this week, I had a loaner Macan 4 (with 22" wheels), it averaged 2.4-2.5 miles/kWh, with a lot of higher speed A/M roads, e.g. 60-70mph, plus some stop/start traffic on the A1 for ~20-30 minutes, and a bit of faffing around with the car at car parks and on my drive to learn about the...
I had a loaner this week and wanted to change the default to mi/kWh - found that setting quite quickly actually. I find this easier for my head to compute range, I was seeing ~2.4-2.5 mi/kWh, so total range is approx 250 miles. I could not get on with the kWh/100 miles either! Yes this is my...
I see, similar to the Bose system settings then, I wonder why no EQ?
I'm going to have to have a listen to a system, it's an extra £3k over the Bose in the UK.
