I think that's a sensible decision.
As for the problems you had, you remind me of @byebye and I think he should consider GTS as well.
I follow reviews of many electric cars, and I don't think there is any other EV that matches Macan EV's driving dynamic, agility, ride and handling; looks; and the way it is laid out with integrated PCM, stalks and physical buttons. Most still come as a Tesla-style iPad on wheels (awful)!

Obviously, the Macan GTS or Turbo are the best when it comes to handling, dynamics... and IMO the look is amazing, interior & exterior.

The only two other competitors are the BMW ix3 50 (huge battery and good efficiency, so big automomy ; but the interior, it looks like a Tesla, no active dampers nor RAS, dynamics is good -BMW style - and OTA ) and the GLC 400 (better efficiency than the Macan, same battery, active dampers, RAS, interior is well pollished... but dynamics, Mercedes style...).
They are 25% less expensive.

So yes, when your first choice was in early 2024 a Macan Turbo, in 2026, there is no competition outside the Macan and the Cayenne (Which is too big/expensive for my needs).

1. Macan 4 vs. 4S: I wonder if you have considered the 4S to point out the performance differences, but of course if this does not matter then the 4 is just as good in any other way.

2. Thermal Glass + Privacy: I recommend this option as it not only reduces the tire noise and has thermal properties, but the main benefit is that the glass is much thicker which to me is a must for frameless doors, plus having dual pane glass significantly reduces windshield glare unless you do 80% specific windshield film.

3. Porsche Emblem on Headrests: I recommend doing the rear as well as it looks complete and gives it a lot of rear view dimension.

4. Rear Axle Steering: May be you do not need it but the wheel base has been pushed out typical of EV platforms, so this one is a must for me as you get benefit from low speed agility and smooth lane changes at high speeds.

5. 4-Zone Climate: There is a little known hidden feature if you option 4-Zone, the ability to make your front footwell warmer.

6. Air Quality: Highly recommend it because not only it cleans the air with dedicated air quality in and out screen, it makes your interior pollen filter work more efficiently by making small particles stick together that can be captured by the filter, otherwise this process is happening in your lungs.

Nothing like a perfectly tinted look. This might be a US thing, but this is how we like it here.
I would want that sweet interior all to myself and charge toll to see it
I drove ours to the PPF with no tint and I was blinded by glare, so what a relief it was when it was ready for pickup as shown here. This is only front window tint to match the rear factory. The total is about 18% and just perfect.

I have Truffle Brown now and I think I'm addicted.
Nothing else feels and smells the same way.
At first was hoping for race tex but it's not even close.
