Porsche launches Advanced Package for the Macan

August 13, 2026

For the start of the new model year, Porsche is expanding the standard equipment of the Macan. The sports car manufacturer has combined particularly popular options for its all-electric SUV into a new package.

At a glance
  • Popular options bundled at a preferential price
  • Extended standard equipment for the new model year
  • AC charging at up to 22 kW for the GTS and Turbo as standard

Porsche has bundled a curated selection of the most popular optional extras for the electric Macan into a new Advanced Package. Available for the Macan, Macan 4 and Macan 4S models, it includes the panoramic roof system, Matrix LED headlights, automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors and an exterior paint colour from the ‘Shades’ or ‘Contrasts’ colour palettes. For the interior, the Advanced Package adds 14-way electrically adjustable Comfort seating, the Leather package in black and the Bose® Surround Sound System. In terms of the powertrain and chassis, it includes Power Steering Plus and adaptive air suspension with levelling system and height adjustment including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).

In Germany, the Advanced Package costs 5,990.46 euros for the Macan and Macan 4 and 5,299.07 euros for the Macan 4S (both including VAT). Depending on the model, this results in a saving of up to 45 per cent compared to ordering all the package options individually.

More driver assistance systems and more charging power as standard

Porsche is also expanding the standard specification of the Macan, with comfort and driver assistance functions included as standard equipment on the all-electric SUV from the start of the new model year. In addition to adaptive cruise control, this also includes Automated Parking with 2D Surround View, which automatically detects parking spaces between and in front of objects. With this system, the turn signal is activated automatically and the vehicle takes over the parking manoeuvre for both parallel and perpendicular spaces as well as manoeuvring out of parallel spaces.
Other parking functions, including Remote Park Assist – which allows parking manoeuvres to be controlled via smartphone, among other things – are available as options. The smartphone, in turn, can now be charged much faster in the Macan than before, with the dedicated storage compartment in the centre console, which includes wireless charging, now offering up to 25 watts of charging power (previously 15 watts).

For the Macan GTS and Macan Turbo, Porsche is also increasing the standard AC charging power. Thanks to the 22 kW on-board charger now being fitted as standard, charging at public charging points or a compatible wallbox can be much faster. The Macan, Macan 4 and Macan 4S charge at a maximum of 11 kW, but can also be optionally equipped with the 22 kW charger. At suitable DC fast-charging points, all Macan models charge with up to 270 kW as standard.

Great share. I saw it as well. This is typical as the model years progress, such as Taycan Black edition, etc., however, I wish they fix the configurator already in the US with 2027 models still missing Drive Assist as an option and not listed as included in the Standard Equipment.

UK configurator has it.

Anyone else find the continuous ‘upgrades’ frustrating ?

Close but not quite 100%
Black edition is a more substantial upgrade as you get the bigger battery, etc. you also get special black edition badge you cannot get otherwise, black lettering at the back..

The Macan "Advanced Package" is basically a 6K euro discount = Porsche realizing the obsolete PPE platform, severely underspecced and overly overprised Macan is a hard sell in 2026 with advanced, cheaper and better specced competition from its back yard (iX3, GLC, XC60) and China.

So what do you get for 6K off:
- Pano roof
- Matrix LED
- Automatically dimming mirrors
- Paint from Shades/Contrasts
- 14-way Comfort seats
- Black leather package
- BOSE
- Power Steering Plus
- Air suspension

I naturally have all this as this is considered base spec when paying 120K! well apart from Porsche whose main model of business is to sell barebones and charge an arm and a leg for the essentials.

I paid 12K for the list above, now its worth 6K less overnight, add the massive depreciation after 2 years, I may as well have to pay someone when it comes to sell it, not a happy bunny :CWL:

It's a veiled attempt to boost sales. Same thing happened with the Taycan - more standard spec - sales still plummeted - now earmarked for obsolesence in 2030.

Pricing is an issue now for Porsche.

It is an issue with EVs which have some serious competition from other VW Group products particularly as the strange love affair with SUVs is coming to an end!

Let's be real
If the driving dynamics are not important to you, Porsche is probably not for you.
If Porsche driving dynamics are important to you a 2.5T Audi SUV is probably not for you.:p
I get my fun from my low 1.3T rwd mid-engined manual flat-six Porsche (that is not an Audi).

Is this across all markets? Including UK?

No. I would be frustrated if they didn’t work on improving their offerings.

You buy the vehicle you want with whatever features it has. You should have no expectations of receiving any upgrades that weren’t promised to you.

I think that they need to have a real difference in price / standard spec now the Cayenne EV is available. I optioned up a Macan 4S the same as my Cayenne EV Coupe (4S 0.8 seconds quicker to 60) and there was barely a difference ignoring the updated software etc in the Cayenne. I know that the Macan is more ‘sporty’ but I suspect a lot of Macan buyers are more comfort orientated.

£10K reduction and more spec would help.

Cayenne EV is a much better proposition albeit still pricey.

Yes!!

Porsche still thinks that it's normal to deliver a 90ke car (namely the Macan 4) without comfort (ie keyless entry) access and without Electrochromic Interior (and Exterior) Mirrors!

Still need in 2027 to check those options...

Wait, people here whining because they didn’t offer even more value / savings, other people whining because they reduced the value of the options they previously paid a higher price for, and still others saying they were late to recognize they might have a value proposition (competitive pricing) problem? I’m shocked! The recurring theme in many threads here is that Porsche is too expensive for what you get. Seems that Porsche is addressing that to some extent.

As someone who wants to be a continuing customer of Porsche, I hope they make the decisions that increase the probability of their future success. I have no judgement on this move, other than to hope it furthers that goal of them staying in business. Time will tell if they succeed.
