I received the lease information from my SA:

Macan 4 MSRP: $ 97,300
Rebate: $ 7,500
Down: $ 7,000

39 x $ 1,610

Money Factor: 0.0045
Residual: 56% (36 or 39)

Means 10.80%. (WTF)

They said it was non-negotiable. I said no lease for me. I wouldn't say I like leases anyway. :)

So youā€™d pay $70k for the lease and youā€™d still owe over $55k to buy the car at the end. What a deal! šŸ˜‚

Out of curiosity, would you mind sharing them again for comparison purposes (didn't see them before you updated your post)?
What did you decide in the end?
An update;

The numbers have changed, as MF (money factors) have gone down, according to the dealership. I was leaning towards 2 years, to provide the option to move towards a Cayenne when they release the EV version but now may give myself a bit more leeway to wait.

I am deciding to lease, Iā€™ve never owned an EV and Iā€™d like to try the technology first without the commitment. When I get the new numbers, Iā€™ll share here.

I apologize for removing them so soon!

This is interestingā€¦ my numbers were less than yours and my MSRP is exactly the same, mine is only $100 more because I added puddle lights..

ooh very interesting... this is exactly what my SA has pushed me towards.
we're doing the lease and he said i could buy it out after a month or so, whenever the paperwork for whatever they have to do, is completed.

I was lookin at some sights, and at first my question is the tax. Apparently you pay tax on the car, and a lease tax... so whatever that may be at the time of taking the car, if I were to buy it out a month later, am I paying the value of the car again then?

so for example the lets say the car is 100k and payments are 2k for 36m
the lease takes off 7500.
but either way, if i wanted to buy the lease out at 3 months later,
i'd owe $2k x 33mo ($66k)+ the value of the car which would still be like $92k ?

tha's sound crazy?
am I understanding ya'll correctly?
I plan to do this too, thatā€™s what my guy said. I didnā€™t initially get the turbo, but will when I commit to purchasing.

I believe the money factor and residual values are partly determined by the dealer. I play with them the way they cannot control. I will pay in cash as soon as the car upgrade adventure allow me.

Quite a few forum state the puddle lights can be added on later, and the aftermarket ones are much cheaper. I didn't option in mine, and the dealer confirmed I can add on later.

Good to know going forward. I ordered this back in February. Iā€™m now waiting on it to be released from the port itā€™s stuck in and the software update to be applied. Two campaigns are on the vehicle, as Iā€™ve been told.

Note that it's not just a matter of the cost of the aftermarket ones - the car needs to be updated to power these lights (PIWIS), which in itself could be costly unless one has the equipment readily available (unlikely).

Someone else mentioned that as the car has ambient lights, it's wired to get puddle lights too.
In any case, the Porsche dealer said I can just add them later, if I needed.

I believe the money factor and residual values are partly determined by the dealer.
You can find the base MF and residual on sites like the Edmunds forum (there's a thread per make and model) and the AutoCompanion calculator. It can vary by ZIP code.

Right now for my ZIP code in the San Francisco Bay Area, AutoCompanion says 0.0035 MF (equivalent to 8.4% APR) and 56% residual for 36% months 12k miles. Add 1% to residual for 10k miles or 2% for 7.5k miles. It says these numbers expire on December 2.

Leasehackr's calculator is better overall, but AutoCompanion's lets you get the MF and residual for free (that's a paid feature on Leasehackr).

Not sure about Porsche, but with other brands, you can usually negotiate a marked-up MF and bring it closer to the base MF. Some dealers don't mark up the MF at all.

My hope is that I can negotiate the dealer down to the get rid of their markup on the money factor by playing a bit of hardball. The price is already locked in, but I assume they'd make more money if I lease from them (even at the standard money factor) than if I pay cash and they have no opportunity to make money on lease/financing. Those are the options I intend to present to them.

Anyone with experience know how likely that is to work?

Be interesting to see our upcoming lease quote costs are different due to the USA Fed rate change, and no sales tax in NH.
