Illuminated doorsills backorder

The black brushed aluminum illuminated door sills are on backorder pushing out my build to to some unknown time so the SA recommended dropping this option. The SA mentioned that it would be couple hundred dollars + cost of the sills to have them installed after delivery once they come back in stock later next year.

Wife wanted all back interior - any suggestions on how to "black out" the current aluminum sills? Would vinyl cutout work?

Also has anyone had illuminated doorsills installed afterwards on a different porsche? Porsche service technician said that there is a sill connector under the non-illuminated sill making the swap to an illuminated sill an easy job.

Hmm I don't see that as an option in the US on the 4S.

These are Standard Equipment on Macan Turbo in the US!
Brushed Aluminum kind is a zero cost option that you make sure do not select.

My advice to anyone new to Porsche configurator is to start with Standard Equipment list so you have a basis of what you are getting before Options, especially on upper trims.

My apologies, somehow I thought you have a Turbo build. Black Brushed non-illuminated then is so called "exclusive to" Turbo. However, I would check with the dealer if you can order it as a part and replace the standard Aluminum with Black brushed after the fact.
