Hello, this is the first time i’m posting something here so bare with me!

I’ve just seen that the logo on the hood of my car is GONE?? The spot where the logo was is now completely blank? I am so confused, I’ll post a picture of it later but I have no clue how this could’ve happened.

Were you not driving your vehicle in a properly spirited fashion @hannaheo and the Leipzig/Stuttgart polizei ocame and reposed the brand identification?

I’ve only heard of this happening in rare circumstances.

I’ve just been driving as usual, my car is parked in a private garage with no possibility of intruding. But I have been washing it (no brushes just automatic car wash) so I don’t know if it could’ve happened there…

On a more serious note, did you have your vehicle wrapped or at least in the hood? They often have to remove such items and reattach them after the wrap. Maybe it was not re-fixed fixed properly?

No nothing like that, it’s new from october and nothing has been done with it. That’s why I’m so confused, I just realized it while being at my cabin in the middle of nowhere

Security cameras in the garage to obtain footage?

Sadly I don’t think so, I’ve also parked other places for short periods of time but I can’t imagine how it has happened. Can you just remove it this easily?

The emblems of luxury cars used to be prized trophies for some vandals. It's possible that someone nicked it.

It is held in place by two screws on the underside of the hood. I can't imagine that they weren't tightened, but even if they weren't, they should still be lying on the frunk cover somewhere. The emblem isn't cheap but can be replaced easily.

Looking at the link above removing the badge without opening the frunk would cause damage to the bonnet and the badge if you were to pry it.
I imagine who ever took it had access to the bonnet?
If the screws miraculously unthreaded themselves (say by vibration) as the screw head is under the bonnet they would fall in the latch as I imagine the badge sits directly on top.
